House | Lion Babe – Jump Hi (Todd Edwards Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 18, 2014
When I heard this track on The Magician’s “Magic Tape 47” I spit my Mountain Dew out and I wasn’t even drinking any. I scrambled relentlessly looking for the link. After a considerable search, I finally found it. Premiered on BBC Radio 1, NY’s Lion Babe enlisted Todd Edwards to remix “Jump Hi” featuring Childish Gambino. To say he smashed it would be doing him a disservice. It’s the best remix of them all. Incredible vibes. Huge chune. Stay up to date on what Todd is up next via his Soundcloud account.
Hats off to Todd and Echo Location Talent.

FYI, Home | Watch Action Bronson Fight a Security Guard on Stage After Lighting a Joint
Posted by FilthyTaft on February 5, 2014
It’s pretty clear what went down here – Action Bronson wanted to smoke a J because he’s a traveling hip hop artist, while he clearly he wasn’t allowed to. The security guard decided it’d be cool to be a huge d*** about it in front of the entire crowd, but Bronson wasn’t going to take that humiliation, and he shoves the guard off of him pretty hard, charges him again, and shoves him way off of him. If the rapper on stage was someone the size of Childish Gambino, the security guard’s stunt probably would have worked, but when you go up against the gigantic bearded beast Action Bronson himself, this is what happens. Shoulda seen it coming, bud – big ups to Action Bronson for putting up a show for his fans and fighting for legalization. Lastly, thanks to the random fan who instagrammed this video.
Hip-Hop | Childish Gambino – 3005 (Official Video)
Posted by dshaq on November 14, 2013
Childish Gambino releases a brand new track off his upcoming album, Because The Internet. While his rhymes bring on a sense of pop culture and randomness, Childish Gambino is just smarter than most other rappers. His wordplay is unique with a tight flow all the while with him telling a story throughout the song. I’m very excited for the album to come out, which releases on December 10. Look back for more Gambino in the mean time.
Chill, Hip-Hop | Jhene Aiko – Bed Peace (ft. Childish Gambino)
Posted by admin on September 29, 2013
“Bed Peace” has been out for nearly two weeks now, but I’ll justify my lack of an earlier post with the fact that I haven’t stopped listening to this song in those two weeks. Jhene Aiko has become somewhat of a staple in hiphop over the past couple of months, hopping on hooks left and right with some of the biggest names in the game.
In this compilation, Aiko lays down two beautiful verses and a softly crooned chorus, all accompanied by a well rounded Childish Gambino verse. “Bed Peace” is your perfect wake-up-Monday-morning-and-try-to-not-hate-the-world song, so listen below and kick off your work week the right way.
Hip-Hop, Rap | GoldLink – They Don’t Like Me
Posted by admin on July 24, 2013
Over the past few months we’ve seen music take numerous cities by storm. First, Seattle’s movement lead by Macklemore, followed soon by a Chicago campaign spearheaded by Chance the Rapper and Chief Keef. Now bloggers and fans wait anxiously, all in hopes that their hometown is the next to take over. I, admittedly, am one of those bloggers. However, I know the DMV is next to pop where as most other people are just hoping.
Today I bring you “They Don’t Like Me” the newest song from Virginia resident, GoldLink. Although I can be quick to place an artist in a box with similar sounding acts, I can’t quite put my finger on GoldLink’s sound. His delivery and cadence control is that of a rap veteran, with each line punctuating the Skywlkr beat with force.
“They Don’t Like Me” is just a taste of what this kid can do, so stay tuned for some of the full-length tracks that he’s got coming, because from what I’ve heard it won’t be long before GoldLink is a name that will be popping up on a regular basis.
Hip-Hop | Sean Dee – Chiropractor

Introducing Sean Dee, a dope new rapper based out of Georgia. Today marks the first installment of his Sean Dee Sundays series beginning with “Chiropractor”. The track samples Gyptian’s song “Hold Yuh” and his flow is reminiscent of a mixture of Kendrick Lamer, Wale and Childish Gambino. You can definitely see his talent in the track and it will be interesting to see him grow as an artist.

Hip-Hop, Videos | QuESt – Angels & Demons
Posted by Grubeats on October 4, 2012
Donald Glover may have made this beat famous with “Freaks & Geeks”, but QuESt just did one hell of a job playing the role. Consider this a floating freebie until QuESt’s next project, which will likely thrill you in early spring , ’13.
“I wrote this song as a prelude to what I’m creating next. We all have angels and demons in our lives, sometimes it’s just harder to figure out who’s who.” – QuESt
