More than a series of notes and rhythm, music is a universal language. It can reach deep into the human spirit. It can inspire creativity, or take us to the depths of despair. Music can calm inner turmoil or set the pace for revolution and violence. Most importantly, music has the ability to change lives. Indeed, Ess Vee is doing just that with the release of his “Feel Music” video off his critically acclaimed “The Veelude” project. Produced by Stas Mavrodi, “Feel Music” is reflective as it is introspective- inviting the listener to experience a musical catharsis with the addition of an extra verse. Don’t call this Irvington representer crazy, his reality is just different from yours. As a bonus, I’ve included his entire “The Veelude” project for download below. FYI | Help Fight Pediatric Cancer!

I spoke with Nammo myself earlier today and he told me about this idea he had to help donate money to fight Pediatric Cancer. It does not cost you anything. For every like Nammo gets, he will donate 25 cents to the cause. I highly suggest everyone like his page. After his own fight against cancer a little over a year ago, Nammo felt he had to do something to help the cause that saved his life. Help Nammo help others and go like his page right now.

Biglife and I are finally recovering from our Tiesto shows earlier this week, and for those of you who missed out, check out the video above for a recap.
Here is what Tiesto’s team had to say about our first stop:
Ok so I must admit that this Amherst show threw me off my game… in a great way! Instead of capturing as much amazing footage as I’ve been getting in the nights prior to this I fell into an amazing abyss of FOMO (fear of missing out). I just had to join the crowd and dance or I just would have felt left out. The energy in the air was beyond electric! Each instance of my attempting to carry out my duties was thwarted by glowing grins and an ever-present voice in my head encouraging me to join in their exploits on the main floor. It’s hard to hold a camera when you’re jumping up and down amongst four thousand other like-minded individuals going maximal crazy. My voice isn’t the only thing I lost. I’m pretty sure (like the rest of the crowd) that I lost my mind.

Seems rather delayed for a release off his previous album, MOTM2, which dropped a mere 10 months ago, but I’ll take visuals for classic Cudi over his new ear piercing approach at wizardry (“Perfect Is The World”). Scott takes to his actor’s side (How To Make It In America) and mashes it with his history of violence (Wallet-fan-punch & Fan Fight) for a deep video directed by Surface to Air, where he withstands the beating of the legendary Mr. Rager, until he meets his counterpart for an unpleasant ending. Whether or not the timing of this release was directed toward fellow Cleveland-er, MGK, who responded to Cudi’s tweets regarding his use of the word “rage” and “rager” is unknown, but we do know the waters still appear to be unsettled.
Expect an album coming by year’s end from Cudi’s group, “2 Be Continuum”, along with a single or two off Man On The Moon III.

When it rain’s it pours. Here’s another new video from The Knux which features Kid Cudi on their hit single, “Run”. Since there is some nice boobage I’d mark this one NSFW, but if you’re at work, don’t sleep on this one when you get home cause it’s one hell of a track and video. Keep an eye out for The Knux’s sophomore album, “Eraser” dropping September 27th.

If you haven’t familiarized yourself with Krewella, it’s about time you start. This dynamic electro duo made up of sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, have been dropping some serious heat lately…don’t believe me? check out my last post on them. Krewella’s latest creations features bulletproof dubstep riffs and powerhouse vocal performances. These girls are the real deal folks, jump on the bandwagon now cause its sure gunna be one helluva ride.

There’s nothing better than coming across those tracks that feature uplifting melodies followed by infectious drops that are all just perfected by some foreign goddess’s vocals. She’s always singing about something way too deep for you to care about, but you still nod your head and completely agree with whatever she’s saying, just cause the song sounds that good. Here’s a few of those minus the fact the third song’s vocals is a dude. Classic mixup.
