Loyal followers of this household name to the future dubstep genre are excited, and they should be, because San Holo has taken a major step in his career by releasing on Monstercat what he is sampling with the title track, ‘Victory’, as an intelligent combination of high strung chords and heavy bass lines. It starts off with a strong grungy intro, transitioning into a trap-inspired bassline, and finally blending with a melodic synth, which is surprising because it maintains a mellow atmosphere throughout the entire track. Marcio Lama has made it a point to demonstrate his versatility as a producer. ‘Melrose’ is a pure rendition of this statement. It’s blissful symphonic collection of bells, wavey synths and the seductive voice of Binks delivers a work of art. This insinuates an atmosphere of positive vibes and summer sunshine. The Dominican Republican native side-steps away from his comfort zone but to no one’s disappointment. This will feed anyone’s addiction for something fresh.

Marcio Lama is the future. A simple graze over his music and you’ll get a sense of what kind of atmosphere this producer is trying to facilitate. The sped up bass line dominates the track but with vocals as captivating as these this song is perfect. It’s made for the long drive – for moments of reflection. I was under the impression that all the remixes for Adventure Club’s hit ‘Wonder’ had been served – boy was I wrong. Giordani resurrects the classic original and transforms it in a club-friendly bass filled decoration. The remix is quality and a demonstration of this Canadian’s caliber as a producer. It creates an enigmatic atmosphere so strap yourselves tight for this feel-trip.
