Mysteyland USA, which is taking place over Memorial Day Weekend on the Woodstock ’69 grounds, is no doubt one of the hottest festivals in dance music right now, thanks to its unique blend of music, art, and culture. With headliners like Diplo, Dillon Francis, Kygo, and Porter Robinson all slated to take over the main stage, there’s no doubt that the second coming of Mysteryland in the States will not disappoint. While the festival features main stage talent that is hard to beat, the onus of Mysteryland has always lied in the underground, with up-and-coming acts like JackLNDN, who they have tabbed for their latest mixtape. Armed with his style of dreamy house, JackLNDN delivers a stunning hour-long mix of feel good tunes, featuring Pete Tong, Justin Jay, Peking Duk, and more. While the music aspect of Mysteryland’s “electronic music culture and arts” branding is clear, the festival has just unveiled their “culture and arts” lineup, which features lots of intriguing art, a speaker stage, a healing garden, and more (full lineup after the jump).

Photo Finish / Republic’s Clinton Sparks released the cover art to his upcoming “ICONoclast” EP, and we couldn’t be more excited about this project. In addition to the cover art, he also released the tracklist (featuring some serious big-hitters) for this much-anticipated album. When Lizzie McGuire kissed Gordo on top of that hotel roof in Rome in the Lizzie McGuire movie I just lost it. It was so obvious he was crushing hard and to see him finally toss it in there made my bros and I all very happy. The feeling of surprise Gordo must have felt in that moment is what I feel right now as I write a post for a big room track. Riggi & Piros are among the upper echelon of the (thankfully dying) big room sound and have decided to give away a track for free. It is titled “WOW” and has the worst cover art I have ever seen. I don’t know what they were going for but it is not erotic in the slightest. As far as the song goes, it’s largely typical big room stuff. It is also good though. I dislike big room but Riggi & Piros have managed to momentarily convince me otherwise.

With nothing more than an mp3 file and a cover art, this is how this track was submitted to me from an unknown email address. Too good to pass on, I uploaded it up on my personal SoundCloud to share with ya’ll. “Moves Like Ms Jackson” is a smooth tech house, deep house record incorporating samples from Outkast’s many classics over the years! If you have any idea who is behind this, hollar at me, I need to know! This is hands down a must listen!

Damion Daniel, Ernie Gaines and Mike Philson teamed up with Ton Def records to release their big room progressive house banger “To The Moon” along with a Miami remix, and a remix by Pa_Triot. Blending R&B and hip-hop with electro-house makes for a catchy tune that’ll have you singing “Cause girl you take me highhh to the moon!” pretty much anywhere. So I had to do some digging for this one but Grooveshark luckily had the stream embed so you all get to listen to this totally underrated but F$%^&* dope song that I feel needs some more attention. If you haven’t heard of them, Metro Zu is the epitome of underground culture. In the game for about 6 years now, the group is formed up of the intermissional art clan of RubenSlikk aka King Astro Slikk the Magnificent, Mr B the Poshstronaut, Freebase aka KingBaseRok, and Lofty 305. They are bringing about the next generation of Cyberpunk Funk and have been slowly gaining momentum. When not creating music, visual art, film, and literature frantically, the Metro Zu can usually be found macking females in abundance and causing chaotic disturbances in the universe.
Trap | Harrison Blakoldman – Nocturn

Wow, isn’t this album art awesome? Anyway, “Nocturn” by Harrison Blakoldman out on Cosmonostro is a trapped out beauty. “Nocturn” stands out from a lot of the trap coming out right now. The sounds of a xylophone ring over low bassy beats. Its a lullaby with a modern twist. My favorite part is after a minute in when the sound is fuller, but it’s all really unique and interesting to listen to. Grab it for free!
