Bass, Future House, Jersey Club | Blaz – I.L.F.T.B.

blaz

Let me level with you: I’m not entirely sure how to categorize this bouncy, synthy, delicious groove of a track from Austin-based DJ and producer Blaz. Future beats? Disco-wave? Nu-garage? SPACETRONICA? I don’t know, and I don’t care. Did you enjoy Porter Robinson’s new album but wish it wasn’t such a friggin’ downer? This track has your name on it. Head to Blaz’s Soundcloud for more of the good stuff.

Abstract Hip-Hop | Octave Minds – Tap Dance feat. Chance the Rapper and the Social Experiment

I always am so interested to hear the beat whenever I see a new song with Chance on it. We’ve gone from “Back in this B***h” to “Everyday” now to this. I think this is Chance’s best release in a while and I think its the beat. I’ve been waiting for something playful and energetic, and with this it gives both the pretty nice vocals mixed with a upbeat verse. Everything about this song just works. Peep it below and definitely be sure to check out the Octave Minds guys with their album releasing September 15. Check out their other stuff on Soundcloud here, it’s quite fantastic.

Abstract Hip-Hop | Flying Lotus – Never Catch Me (Feat. Kendrick Lamar)

Woah. Not expecting that. It has been a minute since Kendrick has graced our ears with new music, and today’s release is something a little different. Having FlyLo on the production is something I find very fitting for the two, who both have unique sounds that clearly work pretty well together on this track. I believe there is a new album in the works and set to be coming out pretty soon. Look for that and more releases to come and enjoy the track below.

Earlier this morning, Armada announced that part one of Dash Berlin’s “We Are, Pt. 1” album has reached number one on the iTunes dance charts. “We Are” is a concise 8 track offering from the Dutch legend, who enlisted the help of acts like 3LAU, John Dahlback, Disfunktion, Jay Cosmic for their production prowess. Perhaps the vocalists shine the brightest, as Dash also included Bright Lights, Collin McLoughlin, and Roxanne Emery on part one of this exceptional body of work.

Standout tracks on the album include “Here Tonight” and “Never Let You Go” that have the ability to transport you into another realm. Dash Berlin’s “We Are” ranks as one of our favorite albums this year, and it’s more than deserving of it’s current position iTunes. There’s no question about it, #WeAre impressed. Keep an eye out for “We Are, Pt. 2” coming soon. Shout out to LK and Borys!

Electronic, Exclusive, Featured | Premiere: Lincoln Jesser – Untold

Posted by on August 26, 2014

lincoln jesser

You may not be totally familiar with the name Lincoln Jesser, but that is probably going to change soon and his past work is a good indication of that. He previously toured the world as the guitarist of YUNA. Having split off to form his own project a year ago, Lincoln Jesser is finally ready to unveil his final, completed work to the world in the form of an artist album “Modern Color” on September 23rd.

As the singer, songwriter and producer on the album, Lincoln Jesser gives his work an authentic feel in a sound that is by default very manufactured. With its heavy emphasis on synths and mellow, even vocals, Lincoln Jesser has given us just the right teaser for what should be a cracker of an album.

If you pre-order the album, you will get an instant download of “Untold”, which you can only stream right here, right now. Also check him out at any of the dates below that is most convenient. Pre-order the album on iTunes now.

Progressive House | Dirty South – Unbreakable

Dirty South - Unbreakable

Though he just released an album in March of last year “Speed Of Life“, Dirty South is already prepping another full-length LP for release this fall “With You”. He has unveiled the lead single for the album “Unbreakable”, which shows the new direction of the LA based producer / DJ. A bit different from the Dirty South we are used to with his big storming melodies, the Serbian born producer leans more on instrumentation and vocals from Sam Martin to create an actual song in “Unbreakable”. The album is set for release November 4th, so mark your calendars and pre-order it now on iTunes here.
