Alternative | Abhi The Nomad Drops Second Single from New Acoustic EP

Posted by on March 15, 2019

A week ago Abhi the Nomad premiered the instrument heavy ‘Marbled (Acoustic)’ to great acclaim, now, he switches it up and presents Somebody to Love (Acoustic)’ which features more vocal work. The song does not lose any of its original flow and vibe while still hitting where it needs to. Characterized by Abhi’s unique musicality, it engages the listener from the first second, driven by a catchy guitar hook and flawless vocal lines – it is perfect for a laid back afternoon or an introspective moment.

Alternative, Indie | Abhi The Nomad Releases New Music Leading Up To SXSW

Posted by on March 8, 2019

Abhi the Nomad surpasses expectations once again with a thrilling acoustic rendition of his single, “Marbled”.  Accompanied by a videol, the new interpretation exposes the creative prowess of the young, buzzing, Austin based musician.

The song is comprised of Abhi beatboxing alongside a groovy bassline and steady chords while layering vocal textures that continuously surprise the listener. The track serves as the lead single from his forthcoming 5-track, “Marbled Acoustic EP”, which sees Abhi breaking down some of the fan favorites from his debut album which was released last February.

As always, the creative musician exposes his artistic sensibility by marrying the music to the video in a perfect fashion, being creative, fun and engaging.

Indie | Almost Awake Get Emotional On New Cloudwalker Acoustic

Posted by on March 1, 2019

Las Vegas trio Almost Awake has released an acoustic version of Cloudwalker, the song which put them on the map. It’s original version has amassed 90k+ plays on Spotify, very impressive for a self proclaimed group of teenagers. The new interpretation breaks boundaries and invites the listener to a more personal and raw interpretation of such a passionate song.

The group, consisting of lead singer ‘Drowsy’, bassist Tommy Cochran and guitarist Kalani Jones, have released over fifteen songs in their career since first starting in 2014 when Drowsy and Kalani began the band as teenagers. Since then, they have already shared the stage with State Champs, Waterparks, Mayday Parade among others and have played in festivals such as Vans Warped Tour and Jersey Shore Fest and they are steadily becoming one of the must watch acts of the Vegas Pop Punk scene.

The stripped down acoustic version features a soft piano and a blazing guitar that reminisces of a Joe Satriani fanatic they go along perfectly with Drowsy’s, Haley Williams inspired singing.  The new track is incredibly personal while preaching its message of love not being reciprocated and making one feel invisible. With this release, the band is sure to keep on growing and becoming more successful, hopefully headlining more shows and gaining the notoriety they so much deserve.

Heads up: This is probably the most beautiful thing you’ll listen to today. Elephante and Brandyn Burnette just stripped down their hit “Plans” and created a gorgeous acoustic rendition of it. Many times, the live aspect gets lost in electronic music, but you can truly see how talented these two are as musicians in this version. With all the uncertainty that has clouded this country this past week, use this little piece of beauty to brighten your day. Check out the acoustic mix of “Plans” now!

Electronic | Justin Caruso’s remix of 3LAU’s hit track is a must listen

Man this “Is It Love” remix package might just be my favorite one of 2016. Jenaux already dropped a fire mix, and Justin Caruso followed that up perfectly with his take on the track. While Caruso’s take is more on the future side of things, this isn’t the cookie cutter Future Bass we’re used to. Featuring acoustic guitars, melodic vocal chops, and beautiful sound design, Justin Caruso’s remix is one we’ll be jamming out to all summer. Check out the track now and be sure to download it as all proceeds go to “Pencils of Promise”.

Cover, Featured | A Fresh take on Adele’s “Hello” with Leah Haxhi’s New Piano Cover

Leah Haxhi, NYC singer/songwriter, hits us with another Adele cover that rivals all the competition. Keeping it simple with just minimal piano and vocals, this live video gives you the feeling you are sitting right there in the studio with Leah. At first it seems as if she is keeping it very close to the original, but then the second chorus breaks off into a free-style bridge that adds a unique twist to the song. Live studio visuals by Marin Hamataj and Brenton Ruh also complement the relaxed feeling of the cover. We expect to see big things from Leah in the near future, as she is putting together a demo of original songs and also working on new tracks with various DJs and producers such as Afrojack, Shelco Garcia and Teenwolf, and some other hard-hitters in the EDM and pop world. Follow Leah for more music and updates coming soon.
