The last time we heard from the kings of good vibes ACADEMY it was about 9 months ago when they dropped their sophomore EP The Beat Generation. While The Beat Generation was a phenomenal seven track EP, none of that collective project can begin to touch the masterpiece that is Panoramic. The Los Angeles based duo teamed up with Jackson Breit for a record that has all the vibes of Summer and all the feels of a radio hit. This little ditty is a spin on the Temptations timeless song ‘My Girl‘ and is equally as addicting as their previous reggae cover of Biggie’s Juicy. My Girl, which was concocted by John That features good friend of ACADEMY and unknown to most, emcee Terrye who laid down some well written bars that fit the vibe of this song perfectly.

It’s been a few months since we have heard from Los Angeles duo ACADEMY. Following the success of their EP The Beat Generation, Evan and John spent the last few months playing shows all over the country with the likes of Vic Mensa, Aer, Misterwives, Smallpools and many others. Now that they are about to hit the road on a Fall tour they teamed up with the other half of the billing, Matt Easton for a very dope track enlisted Can’t Teach. The new track gives off more of a hip hop vibe than we are used to getting from them, really showing their versatility. Since their arrival on late 2013, Academy has absolutely amazed with each single, but the one thing never received regularly were visuals. In January the duo unleashed their first set of visuals for their single We Ain’t Never and today the duo teamed up with director Kris Roller to drop one of the more creative music videos we have seen in quite some time for their single Hold Me Down.
