Sebastian “De-Lor” Michael is a an up and coming pop singer/songwriter/producer from Boston who’s influenced by the sounds of R&B, pop, and electro. The big homey, DJ Moneybags, sent this new track over that will be featured on his first debut mixtape dropping in the Fall. I can’t say enough about De-Lor. Not only do I love his personal style (no homo) I see shades of Ryan Leslie in him. As always, be sure to follow this promising up-and-comer on Twitter and Facebook.

Thought that’d be the last time you saw the sensation that is De-Lor on FreshNewTracks? Nah, think again. If you haven’t noticed, we’re pretty good at sizing up talent quickly. (See Collin McLoughlin) We’re still waiting on a big label to call and hire us already, but I digress.
That being said, De-Lor offers two new tracks. The first, “Renegade” which is a smooth r&b/electro track accompanied by the “making of” visuals above. The second track, “You Got It All” is definitely a banger for your Friday night. Whether you’re into baby making music or you’re wanting to rage, De-Lor has you covered. Sometimes when you’re a blogstar, you’re usually caught up posting what’s been sent to you. You’re piled high and deep with so many e-mails it makes it virtually impossible to have the time to actually seek out new music. However, when I was browsing facebook “deleting and un-tagging” all these wanna-be rappers who usually post their videos on my wall, I came across a video in my mini-feed that blew me away.
Sebastian “De-Lor” Michael is a an up and coming singer/songwriter/producer from Boston who’s influenced by the sounds of R&B, pop, and electro. Although his Facebook and Twitter leave many questions about his story unanswered, De-Lor is an artist that you should keep your eye on. Leave it to FreshNewTracks to find the undiscovered talent. While many of you may associate Sebastian’s music with a more acoustic, mellow sound, “Take Me Higher” marks the first public tasting of Sebastian’s upbeat, pop side. Effortlessly reaching the high notes over the piano tap production from LU Balz, Sebastian exposes his innate ability to tackle various genre’s, which is why many of us are confident we are witnessing the birth of a star.

I introduced Maye Star a couple weeks back with the release of his first single, “Go Hard”, off his upcoming mixtape, Mayeham. In lieu of the birth of baby jesus, Maye gift wrapped rapped up this promo freestyle over Bow Wow’s track, “Crunch Time”, produced by Roc Nation’s own Jahlil Beats on this crisp Christmas afternoon. This track will not be featured on Maye’s upcoming mixtape, but gives you an idea of the wordplay he is capable of exercising. With features on the project from XXL Freshman 2012 nominee, Los, fellow Bostonians, Moufy & De-Lor among others, this FNT sponsored tape is already shaping up to be a breakout project.
P.S. Did I mention this kid’s only 16?

Maye Star. Now that you’ve heard the name, remember it. The young MC residing in Boston is lyrically infectious. I first caught wind of Maye Star when I saw him open for YONAS several months back in Boston. He proceeded to roll lyrics off his tongue like he had been doing it for years. There’s no question he’s got a rare ability to spit it quick, but it should be known his lyrics hold truth and personality as well. “Go Hard” features fellow Boston artist, Deon Chase, and serves as the newest single off his upcoming mixtape, MayeHam. The project will include features from Moufy as well as Los (who Maye has impressed time and time again at post show cyphers), and FNT regular De-Lor. This may be the first time we’ve featured Maye Star, but it certainly won’t be the last.
