Love Mansuy is back with another release “Meant It,” a dark but soothing rnb record produced by X2AN and if you’re looking to relax on this Friday evening, spark up your favorite herb, pour yourself a drink, sit back and let yourself get taken away with this one. When I hear records like this, I ask myself where did the creativity and inspiration come from as it’s completely different then what’s out there and yet everything comes together organically and rings just right. If you’re looking for something new and fresh, this is a must listen and a must download!

There is still a lot to be learned about the relatively new producer behind the Fwdslxsh moniker. From what I’ve gathered (read: stalked) on the internet he’s a young man based out of London and is affiliated with the Last Night In Paris art collective. In this latest joint, ‘4U’ Fwdslxsh chose to pluck a sample from the ‘Say Yes’ tune by Floetry, he uses it as his center piece, revealing that he spent a majority of his formative years listening to R&B. The influence is apperent in these snappy minimal drum patterns that leave just enough negative space for a lush synth backdrop and a simple key driven melody. Keep your ears and eyes open for more music from this young elusive producer in 2014.

Alright, this might seem a little out of no where considering my traditional taste but I’ve been on a very serious R&B kick lately and I’m not afraid to show it. Rising starlet Tinashe broke up my Ciara-Cassie-Aaliyah rotation after dropping the audio of her latest single, “2 On,” featuring beats provided by DJ Mustard and guest rhymes by Schoolboy Q. Her voice is soft and seductive, leaving you wanting more even after multiple plays. Keep an eye out for when the track becomes available for purchase in the near future, and potentially an album in the works as well.

I might be late to the party with this one, but if you haven’t heard this record “The Man” by Aloe Blacc I strongly suggest you press play below. I heard this track a few days back on the Beats by Dre commercial, and it’s been on repeat ever since. If you’re looking for a pick me up, and some inspirational music from the man who brought you “Wake Me Up” with Avicii, “The Man” is that track for you, and you can tell everybody! You’re the man, (or the woman)! This is a must listen!

Chance the Rapper and Justin Bieber together on a track is now a thing. The two have joined forces to go in on this absolute ladies anthem. Smoother than a baby’s bottom, Bieber’s vocals steal the show and show his maturation as an artist especially with enlisting talent such as Chance the Rapper for a feature. Chance’s verse is a perfect way to let the world know who he is. He dropped a great verse but made sure it was Bieber’s spotlight.

The homie Lloyd hit me with Love Mansuy’s latest single “White Heaven” and I’m a fan. The single is off Love’s upcoming project Barely Legal, and was produced by Balsam. The production sold me on this track as it has a new age R&B feel, which Mansuy has no problem vibing off with his vocals and emotions. I’d love to hear a down tempo remix of this record, or any remix at all as it has superb vocals, and an instrumentation that can be taken many ways. Brandy Shanice dropped the music video for this beautiful R&B tune just last Summer, and I am happy to finally be able to share the download with all. Evil Needle did an exceptional job on the production of this bedroom/smokeroom jam. My’Key Iso’s verses were the perfect way to introduce the track, setting the scene before Brandy Shanice comes in with her breathtaking voice to take you to that blissed out world.
