Kasbo can just do no wrong. The 19-year-old Swedish sensation has been absolutely crushing it in the future bass arena, not only delivering impressive remixes of Vance Joy, Jeremih, amongst others, but also showcasing his tremendous ability in the studio with originals like “Again” and Kaleidoscope.” Last week, the future house flagbearer dropped his debut five track EP, Umbrella Club, and it’s absolutely phenomenal. On his EP, the talented Swede manages to blend his trademark brand of future with elements from trap to create a range of tunes from dance floor heaters to downtempo chill out tracks. Electronic, Future Trap | OxV Flip Ivy Levan’s “27 Club”

Posted by on September 19, 2015

OxV or Oji x Volta continue to release straight up heaters. The duo’s latest drop is an official remix of “27 Club” originally by Ivy Levan. You may have scene a chunk of other flips around the blogosphere the past couple of weeks, like Rusko or Goshfather & Jinco’s takes on the originally pop single, but this trap banger is my favorite edit of them all. Stream all of the remixes here and check out OxV’s future injected remix below. Big ups to these two!

Albums, Electronic, Future Trap, Hip-Hop, RnB | HiFadility Releases Full ‘The Queens’ EP

Posted by on September 18, 2015

After giving us a couple of tracks over the summer, HiFadility continues to inspire with the release of “The Queens” EP in full. As usual, HiFadility absolutely crushes it with his unique sound, and this project is definitely worth the listen. HiFadility takes 10 tracks, and 1 bonus track “Love to The World”, to show us that we can connect to one another across generations, time, and experience.  His dedication to the themes of universal love, peace, and prosperity are constantly present in his music and this awareness is a refreshing alternative while creating an authentic movement. Be sure to check him out on twitter, facebook, tumblr or instagram via @iamHiFadility.

“The 90’s, a time of racial conflict, economic turmoil, war, quite similar to what the Globe is experiencing today. Still some were able to express their voice no matter the circumstance, many times risking their own lives, doing all they could to express their belief that the world could be a beautiful existence for all. The voices of generations singing together, a song of freedom and liberty that is true and accessible to all.

So many examples, testimonies of those that transcended the obstacles laid before them and placed bridges there that others may also find their way. Many thanks to those who paved the way that others may walk it.

Peace.Love.Prosperity”

As if Dabin’s original single “Touch” with Daniela Andrade wasn’t beautiful enough, Kannibalen Records enlists three remixes for the magnificent musical specimen. As you can expect from the Kannibalen crew, they diversify the EP with sounds ranging from club-friendly side, to the headphones and chill side. Kicks N Licks bring the bass with their dubby interpretation that plays towards a festival friendly style. Ghosts, who already has a strong catalog of quality remixes, adds another with one of the most sensational house tracks that has graced the deeper side of the genre. Lastly, Imagined Herbal Flows brings a downtempo future remix that rounds out the EP quite nicely. Dabin and company only brought three tracks to the table, but they weren’t messing around with their choices. Suffice to say, the Touch Remixes EP is definitely worth the purchase price!

Carly Rae Jepsen might mostly be known for being the face of that ridiculously catchy cut “Call Me Maybe” but thankfully she’s not only that. AZ-bred future pop neophyte Y//2//K has delivered his own take on her new cut “Run Away With Me” and it’s a beaut. Shimmering strings and a trappy-yet-pop percussive style set the perfect stage for Carly’s powerful ballad to keep the core of what makes it so good in the first place. Grab this via Apple Music and keep an eye out for future Y//2//K tour dates.

Future Trap | Mystery Producer Hunter Logan Drops Huge Banger

Posted by on August 11, 2015

There’s a new mystery producer in the blogosphere. His name is Hunter Logan and he just dropped a huge banger titled “STFU” out of nowhere this week. Is it house? Is it trap? Is it future trap? It’s hard to put a finger on the genre. What I do know is that it’s completely original and seeing a lot of support around the blogosphere and we really like it. This is a must listen track.

Albums, Future Trap | Poly Pines – “Let’s Escape”

Poly Pines just wants wants to make people happy. He has some of the greatest feel good future trap music I have heard. Reminds me a lot of Wave Racer and that Aussie sound. I talked to Poly Pines and his inspiration for the overall feel and name of the track came from situations in his own life and wanting to escape with someone special. His musical and production ideas as well as that “Nintendo Zelda-esque” feel are inspired by Chet Porter. Poly Pines is turning 20 next month and we hope he has something up his sleeve!
