“Drunk and almost famous..”
Go down the rabbit hole with Silver Medallion and PropaneLv while watching their latest music video directed by Martin Van Londen. It’s hard to pin down a genre on this one as it ranges from Alternative to Hip Hop. The single has a dark feel to feel to it courtesy of the Nine Inch Nails-style beat by Terminill along with Heatroc & Priceless, which the video captures the feel of perfectly. Download the track below and become a fan of Silver Medallion and PropaneLv on Facebook here and here.

Radical Something’s No Sweat Spring tour has now come to a close after traveling the U.S. and performing with many different artists along the way such as Slightly Stupid, SOJA, Asher Roth, Cris Cab and more. Luckily the train doesn’t stop there! This is going to be a radical summer because they will be releasing a new song every Monday for the next 12 weeks starting June 11th! Also during the No Sweat tour I had the opportunity to sit down with Radical Something for an interview. You can catch the release of that here this Saturday (6/9/12)!
Alternative | The Waves – Good Man’s Brain
Posted by J_Salzer on May 1, 2012
Hello all, I’m Joseph Salzer, and I’m a hip-hop blogger. So this is very strange for me. But here I am, posting a band, on Fresh New Tracks. All pleasantries aside, this song is fabulous. What really draws me in the lead singer’s vocals, and how they work perfectly with the dual guitar. But the main highlight is the lead vocals, going from falsetto to chest voice effortlessly while making everything sound perfect is no easy feat. I’m going to go ahead and categorize this under “Alternative” because I don’t know what else to place it under. Every time I hear One Direction on the radio from now on, I’m going to be asking myself why bands like them our famous, and bands like this have 1,000 views on youtube.

Radical Something drops their newest video for “You Feel Amazing” off the No Sweat EP, including the mp3 for free! Since the EP has dropped it has had great success, reaching #6 overall on the iTunes album charts and #33 on the Billboard Independent Albums charts. The video features a compilation of footage made up of videos taken by the group and Joe Busy over the last 10 months, when they took the blogosphere by storm in Summer 2011. It showcases how far these guys have come since their beginning with the “Be Easy” sessions in NYC to currently doing tours across the country. Be on the lookout for much more coming from these guys in the near future. They have over 15 new tracks on deck, videos and a long awaited acoustic project in the works. If you haven’t checked out the No Sweat EP you can grab that below on iTunes.

Alternative, Videos | Timeflies Tuesday: Lights Collide
Posted by Grubeats on April 18, 2012

My apologies for the delay on this week’s Timeflies Tuesday. The whole “Massachusetts state holiday” thing on Marathon Monday hrew me off and I still haven’t settled into my weekly routine. Running into some technical difficulties on the tour bus, Res and Cal bring us an alternative Timeflies Tuesday, as their original “banger” was lost when the bus’ power suddenly shut off. Covering Howie Day’s 2004 radio friendly slow jam, “Collide”, Cal adds a bit of autotune to his voice, which I think personally detracts from the purity for a nice mellow track. Beggars can’t be choosers and lesson #89 in life, “Timeflies never fail.” Enjoy this baby making jam and get the moon shoes ready for next week’s bangerang-er.

It’s always gratifying finding a diamond in the ruff after searching aimlessly through Twitter, Facebook, and emails for hours, in search of music that is completely new to my ears. Josh Osho is the diamond. A 20-year old London born singer/songwriter plotting the release of his debut EP due out May 14th. Breaking out with his first single featuring Mr. Glover as Childish Gambino, Osho’s bold vocals meet the hard bars of Bino for a perfect balance of pop, alternative, and hip-hop. Facebook || Twitter
