Alternative, Chill, Electronic | Sapphire Adizes Unleashes First Original, “Birth”
Posted by VMan on January 2, 2019
On the process and meaning behind ‘Birth’, Sapphire Adizes stated: “Somewhere in hours and hours of voice memos and video files, in stacks of scratched DVDs and VHSes piled in my brother’s closet, is the story of my life. Without any discussion or planning, my brother and I set about recording all twenty-four years of my life. He is eighteen years older than me, so he caught moments too early for me even to remember. He showed me a story of my youth that I wouldn’t otherwise have known: I am sliding down snow on my belly; I am playing accordion beside my father; I am minutes old, in my mother’s arms; I am seven, playing the piano; I am seventeen, playing the piano; my father is saying to me, “When I die, I will not die, I will always be with you, son, in your mind, just remember that,” and I am listening. The sound of my life is so much bigger than an orchestra. If I could use any sort of sound to make music, why would I limit myself to the sound of a diminished chord or a saxophone or a piano? Why not seek out the most powerful sound? What about the sound of my being born? Why write a song about my father welcoming me into the world when I can play a recording of my father welcoming me into the world? When I can score his voice like a scene in a documentary? When I can score the soundscape of my whole life using every sound available to me, why do anything else? I saw in the sum of those recordings a documentary about my life, and I scored it. I wrote songs to the scores, and then each song became like a scene from a movie, scenes I organized into a film that you hear. That film, or this album, is called The Wild Boar. This song, the first scene, is called “Birth”. Listen to the single above, & more info on the project can be found via Sapphire Adizes website, THEWILDBOAR.XYZ.
Alternative, Chill, RnB | R.LUM.R Drops “With My Words” Ahead of Tour Next Month

This single just feels good. “With My Words” is the type of record you may secretively play for a crush or new gf/bf if you are too shy to tell them exactly how you feel. The upbeat tune has acoustic and electronic elements laced through out it from top to bottom, which is honestly a breathe of fresh air. Certain times this one has a nostalgic feels to it while during others it sounds like the future of R&b music. All I know is, you guys better keep your eyes on R.LUM.R, this song is something really special. Check it out above now!
Alternative, Chill | “Saturn Return” Is a Strong Comeback For Wilsonn
Posted by VMan on September 3, 2018
“Saturn Return” is the return of Australian artist Wilsonn and it’s a big one and the recently dropped track highlights the singers keen ear for sick production! Wilsonn has sang on top of big songs by other producers and a handful of other original beats but this single is by far his most exciting. Blending future bass style trap on top of a hip hop like brass section, it’s a huge tune. Listen to “Saturn Return” by Wilsonn above and keep an eye out for new music by him.

Alternative, Chill | “Lady of the Night” by DUX Is Quite a Hybrid Single

DUX’s music is a funk infused organic alien funk that just feels great. I know, that’s kind of a mouth full, but this dude is killing it! “Lady of the Night” features Vocals by Stan Taylor, live Drums & Percussion by David ‘Triple D’ Diaz, Guitar by Matt McCalpin and Kyle Barnett and a funky brass arrangement via the help of Alekos Syropoulos and Gave Steiner. I really love how he adds an electronic back bone to a funky pop tune. Listen to “Lady of The Night” above. DUX is on a roll!

I got this promo sent recently, and I love it! Here is what the artists had to say, which is way better than what I had besides this tune being a smash:
Shraban releases his first song in over two months and it shows off all the work he’s been putting in. This new release ‘Shoot’ talks of some of the wildest times in his life, and carries the late night vibes prominent in the industry as of late. With chilling vocals and ambient vibes, the song has it all. Self produced by Shraban, his upcoming tape ‘Trap N B’ will be releasing soon as well.
Make sure you keep your eyes out for this newcomer!
