Electronic | KIll J – Phoenix (Galimatias Remix)
Posted by W8 on November 1, 2013
I came across Galimatias months ago snooping through the underworld of Bandcamp compilations, and since stumbling upon him, I’ve kept tabs. This particular remix comes off a collection featuring 9 other Danish electronic artists that you can find at a blog called ”Rekompileret”. Hollow and airy, Galamatias’s take on ”Pheonix” is a gorgeous array of delicate vocals and longing rhythms.

Hip-Hop, RnB | PARTYNEXTDOOR – Break From Toronto
Posted by W8 on October 24, 2013
The latest from PARTYNEXTDOOR is a video treatment for their debut mixtape that includes ”Break From Toronto” tagged along with “Wus Good/Curious” on the outro. Drake, The Weeknd, and now Partynextdoor all in their unique ways have gone on to create a myriad of music that so well doctors the ethereal life of Toronto, and this new visual context continues to showcase that.

Bass, Electronic, Playlists | What I’m Listening To
Posted by W8 on October 23, 2013
There’s a certain kind of legitimacy that comes with a statement like ”What I’m Listening To” that I think resonates the deepest. The ever so relatable truth of stocking a device with tracks only to replay a few, while constantly skipping over the rest like a nuisance. So here I thought it would make the most coherent sense to gather all the tracks I’m listening to lately, and present them all in one place.
Chill, Electronic, Indie | Tycho – Awake
Posted by W8 on October 15, 2013
After having this track on repeat for the better part of this entire night, Awake unanimously became post worthy. A little more than nothing appeases my interest lately so this was a relief to hear. Tycho arrives back after a brief absence from their last album Dive, out of that came one of the most chillified tunes ever – A Walk that we posted back in ’11. It’s unfortunate that Awake or anything Tycho for that matter has to fall short of summer like this but none the less vote with your dollars and support good music.
