Its Friday, so we would like to welcome you to the weekend. The Interns would like to bring their blend of house music to your ears that has seen the stage at EDC and various Hollywood pool parties. This mix is designed to aid in the fight against the mundane life of a 9-5 job. The mix includes tunes from a whole variety of different guys as they dig into the crates for tunes from Nicolas Jaar, Ben Remember, 16 Bit Lolitas and others. Stream the mix below and you can check the tracklist on their Facebook page.
Deep House | BANKS – Beggin For Thread (Gryffin & Hotel Garuda Remix)
Posted by Middy on October 23, 2014
Gryffin has gotten soundcloud famous very quickly. In the matter of 8 months from his first remix of John Newman “Love Me Again” to this “Begging For Thread” alongside Hotel Garuda that has incredible momentum behind it, things have really taken off for the NYC producer. BANKS has been a popular artist to remix and the combination works perfectly here as the three producers use the vocal, chopping it and manipulating it as well as I have heard in a remix, setting it over deep plucks and distant, reverbed guitars riffs. As per usual with these three, the tune is a free download, so make sure you grab it below.

Progressive House, Trance | Lush & Simon, Uforik – Hydrogen
Posted by Middy on October 22, 2014
Originally a “Demo Of The Week” on Hardwell on Air 153 called “Air” from Uforik, “Hydrogen” has now been repackaged with the skilled help of progressive starlets Lush & Simon. A global collab, bringing together Chinese newcomer Uforik and Italians Lush & Simon, this tune has the airy sound of its namesake. Sounding very similar to something from Audien’s back catalog, the blend of trance and progressive makes this tune a very easy-going, soothing progressive track that flows through the ears. Grab the tune now on Beatport courtesy of Doorn Records.

Electro-House | Tommy Trash & Wax Motif – HEX
Posted by Middy on October 21, 2014
Tommy Trash’s new single, formerly known as Mad Max, “HEX” with Wax Motif of all people is now out via Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings. One of his long awaited tracks, he brings on fellow Aussie and trashed tour teammate Wax Motif for the collab that has all of the hallmarks of a classic Trashman tune. Who knows how long ago he made this, but that gritty, rolling bass line that was his calling card is back and I love it. It sounds different enough to be fresh, but stays true to what he has been over the years.

House | James Bay – Let It Go (Bearson Remix)
Posted by Middy on October 21, 2014
As has been said before, tropical house is where it is at. One of the newcomers of the fast emerging sub-genre is Norwegian native Bearson (they all seem to be from the coldest places). We have brought you remixes from Bearson before, but this may be his best yet, showing some melodic poise over easy going percussion. James Bay’s vocals are the perfect compliment to what Bearson constructs with his instrumental. Best yet, the remix is free, so make sure you grab it below.

Chill, Deep House | Ben E. King – Stand By Me (Shemce Remix)
Posted by Middy on October 19, 2014
Tropical house is it right now. Even as the warmth fades away (unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere) and the cold starts to creep into your bodies, that summertime all the time mentality lives strong within this vibrant sub-genre. As premiered by the folks at TSIS, Kingston, Ontario based producer Shèmce takes the classic “Stand By Me” from Ben E. King and adds his own blissful spin on the tune. It is free, so make sure you grab this one.

Featured, Interviews | FNT Exclusive: Andrew Bayer Talks MSG, New Music & More
Posted by Middy on October 17, 2014
Many artists go dark after an album, or rely on singles and remixes from it to keep the buzz alive. Not Andrew Bayer. He has been hard at work releasing more club oriented tracks like “Once Lydian“, “Bullet Catch” and the “England” EP. With his musical training, his ability to write and produce is evident with each individual song and as a collaborator with Above & Beyond.
The last time we spoke to Andrew Bayer it was around the time of the release of his sophomore artist album “If It Were You, We’d Never Leave“. Now one and half years later, one the eve on the biggest show of his career, joining Above & Beyond for ABGT100 at Madison Square Garden, we had the chance to chat with the DC based producer about his feelings on the show, how life has been over the past year and a half and what he has coming up. Read on for the interview.
