After letting the preview of his remix of Skrillex & Damian Marley’s epic collaboration together “Make It Bun Dem” float around the internet for a bit, Feature Cuts decided to release the remix as a free download. In my honest opinion, his remix of the track is the best one yet with Butch Clancy’s remix in a close second. The drop on this “Make It Bun Dem” remix is absolutely insane, so be cautious you don’t blow your speakers. The remix is still in the official remix contest on Beatport Play, so if you dig what you hear, be sure to vote here.

As soon as the “red pill, green pill, blue pill, yellow, nothing seems to work, he’s the opposite of mellow” begins on this latest release from the eccentric crew Smokey Robotic, you will be hooked. With their own unique take on dance music, “Schizophrenic DJ” is an ode to Smokey’s limitless methods of creation. If you think this song is crazy, just wait until you see the video that will be released later this month directed by Pier Pictures. This is definitely one of their best videos to date and will leaving you thinking that you took at least one of the mentioned pills in the song.

Portland’s PropaneLv dives into the electro pop world with the latest installment in his ongoing series of covers/remixes. Assisted by an instrumental rework from Chi Duly, Lv puts his own spin on the upcoming Avicii x Mike Posner single with desirable results. This cover is a welcome departure from his more frequent Hip Hop & RnB covers, which recently hit 1 million views on his YouTube channel.

Alternative, Pop | Silver Medallion – Money Can’t Buy [Music Video]

Last month, Silver Medallion and some his homies helped throw a NYC party inside a Dim Sum restaurant in Chinatown, which turned into the perfecting setting to film the music video for the second single “Money Can’t Buy” off Silver Medallion & DJ Fresh Direct’s upcoming project together, Xanaxland. Ginger Riot filmed the whole night so you can see what a night out in NYC with Silver Medallion and his posse is like while they get sloppy, steal pizzas and generally wild out. If you look closely you can even spot cameos from Cam’ron and Riff Raff in the video. Following up from their genre-bending “Hey Cinderella”, Silver Medallion & DJ Fresh Direct combine elements of Alternative, Trap, Pop to make their ode to the end of summer.

I first introduced VVS1 back in March with their incredible first release “Pearl Harbor” that quickly blew up across the internet with over 24,000 plays. Today, we have the exclusive premiere of their first single off their upcoming EP The Shining due out September 25th. The song features the incredible production from Mike Irish as well verses from VVS1’s talented emcees Soupa and Dean Swift. Many have tried to combined Hip Hop and Dubstep in the past and have falling flat but these guys are the real deal. I’m excited what is in store for them and you should be as well.
