Finally, after Datpiff got its shit together, here is Wiz Khalifa’s much anticipated mixtape “Taylor Allderdice”, the name of Wiz’s (and Mac Miller) high school. Let me warn you, this mixtape marks a significant shift from the somewhat over-produced radio hits churned out on “Rolling Papers”; it returns to a “Cabin Fever” style with tracks like “My Favorite Song” and “T.A.P.” providing dank unhealthy doses of bass. Producers like Sledgren, Big Jerm, Cardo, I.D. Labs, Jake One and Lex Luger combined with features from fellow Taylor Gang members Chevy Woods & Juicy J and others like Rick Ross and Smoke DZA should get the Wiz haters to chill for minute. Listen to tracks below and download the whole mixtape here. Get ready for Wiz’s upcoming album ‘O.N.I.F.C.’ Hit the jump for the tracklist.
Electro, Girl Fire, Pop | Lauryn Vyce – Fallin
Posted by GMONEY on March 13, 2012
It’s no secret around here that BigLife and I are complete suckers for girl fire, and this latest release from Lauryn Vyce is just what I need to satisfy my daily dose. Fallin has all the trappings of a radio smasher, a catchy hook, an infectious dance vibe, and a beat that oozes progressive house influence.

Hip-Hop, Rap | Young Roddy & Julian Malone
Posted by GMONEY on March 13, 2012
In a rap industry dominated by weak flows and bass-heavy beats, Young Roddy & Julian Malone are improving the game. First, Young Roddy, whose done quite a bit of work with Curren$y, hits us with a nasty flow over a sick beat from his upcoming project Good Sense. Julian Malone goes HAM over this dirty beat, the first off his upcoming #EIGHTY series. Keep an eye out for Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Allderdice mixtape dropping tonight at 8 PM (EST).
Cover | Collin McLoughlin – Video Games (Cover)
Posted by GMONEY on March 12, 2012
Collin Mcloughlin’s latest cover of Lana Del Rey’s Video Games is nothing short of a masterpiece. His raw composition skills really show through with the unique construction of the drum loop, in which he compressed sounds made from back of his guitar. ONce again Collin delivers an unforgettable performance, and this time he has a special purposed for releasing his video:
I am putting this cover out is to help promote my selection for a chance to play at the Billboard Music Awards. I was chosen as one of 18 finalists for the slot, and I need to get more votes than the other two people in my bracket to be able to perform in Vegas amongst some of the biggest stars in music.
Collin works tirelessly to put out amazing videos and free music for you to enjoy. Help him out by voting here, and here, and one more time for good measure (you can vote as many time as you want).
Hip-Hop, Videos | Ess Vee – Feel Music (FNT Exclusive)
Posted by GMONEY on March 8, 2012
“Quite frankly, I’m floating in the ocean/Novacane feeling drowning with my eyes open/You know the same feeling staring at the sky hoping/cause you feel your souls broken and you have no emotion.“
More than a series of notes and rhythm, music is a universal language. It can reach deep into the human spirit. It can inspire creativity, or take us to the depths of despair. Music can calm inner turmoil or set the pace for revolution and violence. Most importantly, music has the ability to change lives. Indeed, Ess Vee is doing just that with the release of his “Feel Music” video off his critically acclaimed “The Veelude” project. Produced by Stas Mavrodi, “Feel Music” is reflective as it is introspective- inviting the listener to experience a musical catharsis with the addition of an extra verse. Don’t call this Irvington representer crazy, his reality is just different from yours. As a bonus, I’ve included his entire “The Veelude” project for download below. Like marcel the shell, hit “read on” for the tracklist. Special thanks to The Association Music Group.
