Always awesome to see two of the most highly regarded emerging artists in 2016 linking up for a collaboration. Recently William Bolton headed out to LA for a few weeks, set up shop with Jackson Breit and made this absolute summer jam. Now, while in LA William may have forgotten it is still Winter in Boston where he resides, but, Girls In the Front Row definitely takes you to a much warmer place.

If you’re like me, waiting for the clock to strike 6 to get off work, here’s Samuel Proffitt’s official remix of Australian band Sun City’s “Paralyse” to calm your nerves until then. And irony of the sort, with producers looking for that warm tropical sound, Samuel wants you to “take a few moments alone, and enjoy Winter,” so press play and do just that! This is a must listen and a must download!

Earlier today the United States swept the Men’s skiing slopestyle event and thanks to the sounds provided by Mike Nakagawa, the mountain’s vibe was described more like spring break than the Winter Olympics. Mike, who goes by DJ Naka G,  creates the soundtrack  to the extreme course where riders life-long dreams are either made or broken… no pressure. We were lucky enough to catch up DJ Naka G earlier today:

Events | Steve Aoki: Winter White @ SJSU 1/30 and Cal Poly 1/31

Posted by on January 12, 2014

Steve Aoki Winter White

Steve Aoki, one of the biggest artists in the game today, owner of Dim Mak Records, is about to have probably one of the craziest weekends of his career, playing not just one, but TWO college campuses in a row. The good people over at Collective Effort Events hooked it up once again, bringing not only Steve, but also Dzeko & Torres, Bones, and John Beaver to San Jose, in addition to AutoErotique and Max Styler to SLO.

These performances are not ones you want to miss. Think about it: Aoki shows are already filled with champagne showers, crowd rafting, and of course, the famous birthday caking – now add a couple thousand college students, and you get one of the most nuts environments you could possibly imagine. Even if you’re not a fan of Steve Aoki (and I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be), you should get a ticket just for the experience.

Find tickets for the SJSU venue HERE  and for Cal Poly HERE. If you’re an SJSU student, go to the Event Center box office for a discount, and if you’re a Cal Poly student, go to the Mustang Ticket Office.

Get stoked, get ready, and no excuses if you aren’t there. In the meantime, check out Steve’s unreal cake-throwing aim in slow motion below.

We’re back in the groove of things with my first post of 2014, and lucky for moi great music found me with Sam Feldt’s latest release “Closure,” a smooth deep house record to keep you warm during this freezing Winter. This is Sam’s first solo record meaning no collaborations or remix, and his second track over all. You might remember me posting his remix with Dennis Kruissen of “Alien.” Enjoy this free download and look out next week for his collaboration with De Hofnar. If this is how Winter sounds like, I can’t wait to hear what Spring 2014 will sound. This is a must listen!
