When I’m waiting for the video to load or am just not pleased with what I’m coming across that day I’ll usually take a 5 minute break to collect myself, maybe drink a pineapple smoothie or something and then see if anything good had been uploaded to Soundcloud since I last checked it 10 minutes ago. Today there was, and it was actually exceptionally good. Practically every track Steerner releases is amazing and this one is no different. A remix of Sub Focus’ “Turn Back Time” is what his latest work is and it has that high energy, upbeat sound that is synonymous with all his productions. It’s free so, as if you didn’t already know, it’s a must listen and must download!!!

Progressive House | EDX – Hyped

EDX Hyped

EDX is known for his silky smooth progressive tracks. With “Hyped” he continues that trend of lush pads and evocative plucks, but adds a subtle break of a deep low end, to contrast the synth work throughout. Grab the latest from Swiss machine EDX and be ready be ready for more from him in the near future.

Hip-Hop | Azad Right – Now I Know (Prod. By Jonathan Marquez)

azad now i know fnt

Call it a hiatus, a sabbatical, a comeback, a leave of absence; however you may see it, Azad Right is back like he never left.  The expectations from hip-hop artists has shifted over the past 5-7 years.  Fans expect new music and they expect it often.  Azad took a step back to catch his breath after coming out of the gates with fire.  Time to analyze, work, focus his sound, perfect his craft.  “Now I Know” is a compilation of thoughts, emotions, & knowledge obtained during his time off.  With production from his right hand man, Jason Marquez, who crafted a bellowing beat that kicks Azad’s music career back on track.

The vibes on this track will without a doubt satisfy your musical appetite for a little while, but shortly after leave you craving more of its LA-based producer’s work. For those of you looking for some study/cram-session background sounds, this one is defnitely for you. Make sure to turn up the bass and enjoy.

Chill, Hip-Hop, Rap | No Trace – Hear Me (Official Video)

Posted by on October 20, 2013

A group that I have been following for awhile, No Trace, released their newest visuals for a standout track off of their sophomore mixtape, The Wake Up Call. When I first posted their music, I posted it on the grounds of potential. Now, the two high school sophomores have made the leap from amateur to doing something special. However, they still have plenty of work to do to fully reach their potential. I have no doubt that they will reach it and we will see something special from them in the upcoming years. If you missed their mixtape, grab it here. Sorry I’m late on the video, but it was too good to go unposted. Keep checking back on Fresh New Tracks for the latest on this young group’s progression.

Practically every single track that Jakob Liedholm releases is superb and his latest is no different. This time it’s a remix of Swedish band Everywhere’s “Soldier” and, like always, he does brilliant work transforming the original into a great progressive track.

Electro, Hip-Hop, Trap | Falcons – Julio (Falcons Remix)

Posted by on October 7, 2013

Coming off of a afternoon work shift I was feeling particularly unenthused and tired. I naturally get in my car, light a stog, go to my SoundCloud app and listen to the new music from my feed on my drive home from work to (hopefully) somewhat better my spirits with some good tunes. Today nothing was really catching my attention until I heard Busta Rhymes all-too-familiar tune remixed into this totally dope version somewhere between hip-hop, trap & throwback. #instalove. Falcons never fails me I swear. My mood went from sour to sweet in almost an instant – crazy how a good song can turn your whole day around. Gacias, Senior Falc$. I can now sleep in peace.
