All the What So Not collaborations we’ve seen hinted at across social media the past couple weeks following the Aussie festival season and prefacing the American one are *finally* coming to light. But even before the release of this RL Grime and WSN love child, it was pretty obvious that this would be a huge track, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Remember how that “Jaguar” track made you feel a very special type of way? Well this one is like that, but times 10. Each drop gets bigger and bigger throughout the song, so much so that I’m embarrassed to even be listening to this off my laptop as these speakers can hardly do it justice. Hopefully you can do better – like, this much better.

So we’re all aware of how hard What So Not has been killing it as of lately but this remix of SBTRKT’s “Pharaohs” is simply genius. Taking the already amazing song and turning it on it’s electro side is more than enough to take a liking to this beat… Just perfect.

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS.
All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.

Didn’t really know what to expect out of this track when it first got started in my speakers, but once the ball got rolling, the drop blew my frickin brains out. It’s been a huge year for What So Not and this is the perfect way to top off the 2013 music career. It nicely full of melodies and hooks to please the ear but has a massive eruption of bass and extreme feeling that other songs cannot compare to. It’s a huge staple in his growing setlist for sure and still vibes to that signature What So Not sound so its a win/win for everyone. Look for this December 10th via OWSLA.

When it comes to summertime playlists, it’s a cutthroat battle for the ultimate, all-inclusive and trendiest compilation, so hear me out for a second. Allow me to introduce to you, Warm Air, a three-part series by yours truly that will coincide with the rise and fall of your sweet summer season. I present to you this first installment of my series on the first day of summer, appropriately, in hopes that you might enhance any which way you decide to spend your greatest allowance of sunlight with the shimmering sounds of some of my current favorite artists.
