Pa_triot & David Lee Rad’ hit us with their Spring Fever mix, and I know I’m about to end this weekend on a chill night. Currently on Tchami’ “Shot Caller” record in the mix as I’m writing this, this mix is up on all the tracks you need to know. Captivated by the first track, a remix by Autograf of The French Horn Rebellion’s “The Fire,” I knew this mix was in for it. I hope all of ya’ll had an amazing weekend, and have a great week ahead!

Progressive House | Mikey Wax – You Lift Me Up (Live City Remix)
Posted by Middy on March 22, 2014
This is a two for one post. Ethan of Live City in sending this over to me, predicted that the original is going to be huge this year, a surefire soundtrack for commercials very soon. I won’t disagree with him there, and neither will I disagree with his rendition of the tune, adding an upbeat progressive twist to Mikey Wax’s work. This is perfect for your weekend. If you are in NYC, go and check them our with the Disco Fries and Aire Atlantica at Slake on the 18th. It is going to be a wild time.
Chill, Trap | Coldplay – Midnight (Chilled Velvet Remix)
Posted by BP on February 28, 2014
TGIF, am I right? Here is a remix from Chilled Velvet to start the weekend with. If you’re not familiar, Chilled Velvet is the collaboration project of Just A Gent and $aturn. As you can imagine, that combination can only lead to some killer chill/love trap. Upbeat synths set the stage for bumpin’ drums and vocal chops from Coldplay’s “Midnight”. The duo has an EP in the works that will be released soon, so keep an eye out! Grab this track for free in the meantime.

It’s definitely been too long, but the Gutter Brothers are finally back with a new tune, following their Beatport chart topping EP “Dat Ass.” The original track features deep, twerk-worthy bass blended with precisely chopped M.I.A. samples, skillfully creating a sound you’ll want to party to all weekend. To add to it all, it even has early support from Notixx, KickRaux, and Brillz. Luckily for you, the record is up for free, so make sure you grab a copy – just try not to “WRCK.”

If you’re looking for some mellow music to kick off the weekend, Galimatias has got your back. This remix of Paper Birds ft. Kendrick Lamar by Meek DeMeo is beyond chill. Minimal and mesmerizing would be some accurate words to describe it. The classy piano and ambient synths carry the vocals and verses into a new plane of sophistication. Lucky for us, this sultry track was released for free! Grab it straight from the player and let the vibes take your mind on a journey.
Progressive House | Fareoh – Pandora
Posted by Middy on February 21, 2014
Fareoh recently broke his silence with the debut release “Run Away” on his newly founded label “Pyramid Scheme”. Now he follows up that Beatport release with a freebee. This one goes for more a banger style instead of the more melodic stuff he is known for, whether it is progressive house or more recently dubstep, adding some tasteful big room to the tune. Grab the freebee from Fareoh below for your weekend.

DJ-Set | ASOT 650: Dash Berlin Drops New ID
Posted by BIGLIFE on February 17, 2014
Dash Berlin is the one of the preeminent trance DJ’s in the world. He routinely kills it with his “ASOT” series. He played so many gems over the weekend. In fact, Hardwell even showed up on his night off which signals he may be experimenting with new genres. What was most impressive, however, was the ID Dash played starting at 11:11. I know we know that voice from somewhere but can’t place it. What I do know is that it sounds like it could become one of the biggest trance songs to release in 2014.
