Hip-Hop, Pop | Marcus Canty – In & Out ft. Wale
Posted by Grubeats on July 11, 2012
Marcus Canty is undoubtably destined for success. He proved that when he first showcased his powerful voice and on stage “swagger” during his tenure on the X-Factor. Alongside fellow contestant and now label-mate, Chris Rene, Industry exec, LA. Reid signed Canty on to Sony’s Epic Records with a clear vision of molding him into the next big male R&B/pop star. Canty may be In & Out of love, but it appears he’s in music for life. Score Wale with an assist on Canty’s first official single release. DMV unifying with strength as always.

Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Meek Mill – Dreamchasers 2 (Mixtape)
Posted by dshaq on May 7, 2012
“I ball hard, all year N***a“
Blown away. That would best describe my reaction to Meek Mill’s brand new mixtape, Dreamchasers 2. After the multiple leaks, such as “Burn” and “Amen”, we finally get to listen to it in it’s entirety. The beats are phenomenal but nowhere near as good as his flow, killing every single song. Spitting with some serious emotion, Meek makes each song a must listen from start to finish. Garnering a slew of notable features from the likes of Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rozay, Wale, 2 CHAINNNZZZZZ (had to), Fabolous, Mac Miller, and French Montana, the tape is too good to be true. So download it and clear a good hour out of your schedule, because you want to listen to this.
Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Jadakiss – Consignment
Posted by GMONEY on April 27, 2012
Jadakiss returns for a hard-hitting mixtape with beats reminiscent of his early days with Bad Boy. The features on this mixtape are OBSCENE, with all of The LOX (Jadakiss’s group) including Sheek Louch and Styles P, along with Wale, Swizz Beatz, Waka Flocka, Meek Mill, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks, Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti, French Montana, I could keep going…the producers are just as impressive with Jahlil Beats, Young Joc and AraabMuzik being just a few. Right from the start, Jahlil Beats murders the beat on “Paper Tags”, and Wale’s verse is nasty. “Respect It”, the track with Fabolous and Lloyd Banks, is straight up dirty, Marly kills the beat. Listen to the mixtape below; D-BLOCK.

Hip-Hop | Curren$y and T.I.
Posted by GMONEY on March 21, 2012
Recently, T.I. sampled Aloe Blacc‘s “I Need A Dolla”, and went HAM over it. Check out the result below and keep up with the King of Grand Hustle here. Yesterday on the SiriusXM Hip-Hop channel Shade45, Curren$y dropped three songs off his upcoming album “The Stoned Immaculate”. Both “No Squares” and “Stainless” have straight up EPIC beats; “Sunroof” is still a work in progress. Look out for the album which drops on May 22nd.
Hip-Hop | Wale, Kid Ink, Los, Hopsin
Posted by Grubeats on March 15, 2012
To be honest, I’m too preoccupied in the Madness right now to give you guys a decent write up. Here’s my abbreviated synopsis. Wale jocks the popular track “Cashing Out” by Cash Out (clever title bro. P.S. you sound like Roscoe Dash), Kid Ink drops the second single off his debut LP, Los drops yet another joint, this time not a freestyle, and 2012 XXL Freshman Hopsin let’s go of a new song in honor of March Madness.
Wale – Cashin Out (Freestyle)
Kid Ink – Neva Gave A Fuck (Prod by DJ Invasion)
Los – Love It ft. Mia Rey & Fred The Godson
Hopsin – Hop Madness
Hip-Hop | Rick Ross ft. Wale, Meek Mill, & T-Pain – Bag Of Money
Posted by GMONEY on March 4, 2012
The big boss, Ricky Ross, is back at it again. This time he’s recruited auto-tune aficionado T-Pain for his first single off his upcoming “Self Made Vol. 2” album. Recently voted “hottest MC” in the world by MTV, Rawse’s star has never shined brighter. Rick Ross, lyrically less technical than his predecessors, proves in this current hip-hop climate, style matters more than substance. His ability to make you feel like a dope king while riding with your watch out the window, however, is a testament to the power of his music. B*tch you wasn’t with him chewing on some ribs. Money over everything. UGHN.
