The vibes of the day come from the great Sango with his chilled out remix of Janelle Monáe’s “What Is Love” off the Rio 2 soundtrack. I’ve had this track on repeat since I heard it, and the beauty of this record is that it sounds organic, from the vocals to the rhythm and harmony of the production, this is some good music! If you’re in New York City this coming Saturday night and are looking to experience these vibes, Sango will be in town, along with Kaytranada and STWO mixing at 88 Palace for Dark Disco. You can find out more of the event here. This is a must listen!

All my hip hop heads make some noise for this latest release by industry veterans DJ Whoo Kid and LL Cool J for their latest release “All Night Long” which was first announced by Russel Simmons on Shade 45. LL still has it and is living up to his name with the follow up to his “Main Chick” remix with Kid Ink, Chris Brown and Tyga., doing work on this sexy chopped vocals instrumental. Ladies you’re going to be feeling this one, and fellas it’s ok to feel like a G listening to this one. LL is OG certified, and DJ Whoo is a legend, which makes this track a must listen!

Days like this where I love my blogger gig, meet UK producer “Boy In A Movie” and his latest release “Change You” which will be available on his upcoming EP “Feel” March 31st. This uplifting sunny instrumental layered with soulful r&b vocals echoing the words “cause no one’s going to change you” will have you meditating and feeling free like you’re gliding through the sky on a perfect day. I’m personally loving this vibe, and this record could not be anymore fitting with Spring approaching. This is a must listen!

Electro-House, Melbourne Bounce | TJR ft. Benji Madden – Come Back Down

TJR featuring Benji Madden - Come Back Down

Melbourne bounce has hit the mainstream of dance music and you can put a lot of the blame or credit on TJR’s shoulders. It is obviously more nuanced than that, but as the sound continues to evolve, TJR’s tracks have been some of the most played in festival sets around the world for the past 12-18 months and it is from a weird, niche genre. His latest sure-fire hit single “Come Back Down” adds male vocals for a bit of a harder rock vibe to the bouncy, agressive bass line that comes with a TJR tune. Expect to hear a lot of this in Miami and beyond.

Pop, Videos | King Deco — One (Prod. Felix Snow)

1622413_566100073476501_852637285_oKing Deco is going to be a star. This Duke grad and pop newcomer has a penchant for invoking Cleopatra, and one of the most captivating, mellifluous voices you’ll hear from anyone without a major label deal (or maybe even with). Given the constant routine and monotony that pervades pop music, it’s enlivening to hear and see an artist whose sound and aesthetic seems much more reflective of their authentic selves and sensibilities, rather than what is most marketable. “One”, the first single from her upcoming EP, was produced by Felix Snow, and features Deco’s rich, resonant vocals and writing over a seductive beat laden with ambient synths. Tigris is due out this month, and will also include the writing and production of Kinetics & One Love, Ryland Blackinton (of Cobra Starship), and ASTR’s Adam Pallin.

Progressive House | Laidback Luke & Project 46 ft. Collin McLoughlin – Collide (Karboncopy Remix)

Taken from the rather subpar remix pack for Laidback Luke, Project 46 and Collin McLoughlin’s “Collide”, the Australian duo known as Karboncopy have clearly the stand out track of the pack (with an honourable mention going to Marc Benjamin’s remix). We all know that, according to this very site, every song Collin McLoughlin is involved in might just go viral and so successfully remixing “Collide” would be no easy task. Karboncopy’s remix hardly resembles the original. They changed the structure of the song and kept the energy high during the break and the bridge before showcasing Collin’s vocals in the build and their fast paced melody in the drop. I might not go as far as to say this version is better than the original but if it isn’t, it’s close.

Mashups | Trademark – Take Tonight (Cash Cash X Zedd X NONONO X Nico Cipriano)

Trademark-Mashups

Mashup king Trademark is back at it again with a blend of infectious vocals all compiled into one mashup. NONONO, Bebe Rexha (think Cash Cash), and Hayley Williams all on one track? Not sure it gets much better than that…
