Alternative, Chill | Dream Koala – Saturn Boy
Posted by BP on April 30, 2014

Dream Koala dropped this track today for free to show off what is to come on the new EP called “Earth. Home. Destroyed.” coming out on May 7th. According to Dream Koala, “the storyline paints a future where all the animals disappeared from Earth, where the oceans are devouring the continents and where the harmony of nature was broken by humans” on the new EP. “Saturn Boy” is chill and ambient with really interesting lyrics. Mellow and calming, this track is a great addition to any alternative collection.

After his debut single charted at #11 on the Billboard Dance Charts, Justin Caruso is back again with another powerhouse track. This time Caruso enlisted Miss Palmer, best known for her hit with Steve Aoki, “No Beef.” The production, uplifting builds, and Miss Palmers incredible vocals all come together to create one hell of a track. Chill, Trap | KRAMPF & AKEDA – EMBRASSE MOI (FT PENDENTIF)
Posted by BP on April 29, 2014

If you’re looking for something a little different to start off the week, check out this track by Krampf and Akeda, both from Paris. Although the track is in French, and I’m aware many of our readers are English speakers, the beat speaks for itself. Chill and trapped out, “Embrasse Moi (ft. Pendentif)” bounces along through a mixed series of drum variations that keep it interesting. The warped vocals give it an eerie background. If you’ve got the right speakers, this track has some deep bass all the way through. Grab it for free!

Dubstep | Illenium X Said The Sky ft. Sirma – Drop Our Hearts (Part II)
Posted by Middy on April 28, 2014

My favorite tune from Illenium’s four track “Risen” EP just got a facelift, as he tabs fellow Denver producer Said The Sky to take on his most successful tune to date. Remixing your own track is not always easy (though Avicii just crushed a whole album of it), but with the fresh ideas of Said The Sky, it may have just gotten better. The vocal from Sirma is kept in tact with much of the original melodic structure, but the two producers give it a bit more bite without going over the top.

Progressive House | Peter Thomas – All Of You (Steerner Bootleg)
Posted by Mel on April 26, 2014
After teasing it for quite some time on his Facebook page, Steerner has finally released his bootleg for Peter Thomas’ “All Of You”. It retains a decent portion of the original but has been reworked into a nice progressive house track featuring the usual melodic, full sounding drops we are used to hearing from him.

Jez Dior released his latest collaboration with up and comer G-Eazy over a Danny Score produced track “Old No. 7” and FNT”s got it covered! As an ode to their favorite past time and the good old American whiskey drink, the two MCs spit their vices like true rockstars, and throw a toast up to those who never believed in them when they’ve already come so far. Reminiscent to my ears of that Nelly and Tim Mcraw joint “Over and Over Again,” I recommend you guys check this joint out and support! This is a must listen!

Electronic | JMSN – Thing U Miss (The Ninetys Remix)
Posted by BP on April 25, 2014

Today was a good day, because The Ninetys put out a new remix. This is my fifth post of The Ninetys in the last year (whoops, The Ninetys rules) so you know it has got to be good! JMSN’s “Thing U Miss” is given a new twist here. It’s got a more ambient feel, which is a bit different for The Ninetys but it works really well. Speedy drums carry the piano melody along, giving it life and charisma. The track is emotional and smooth. It’s hard to categorize, but a fun listen – grab it for free!
