Trap | Pyramid Scheme feat. Trinidad James – Cut It Up

Posted by on February 21, 2015

How she’s a virgin on the week days as opposed to the weekends escapes me, but I digress. Former strippers and pizza enthusiasts Pyramid Scheme (Adam LaRossa and Sterling Pike) drop their incredibly infectious trap-hybrid “Cut It Up” single. How this isn’t on a major label is beyond me. A smart major would sign this track immediately, as I predict “Cut It Up” could become a genre-bending radio friendly crossover that even the whitest of girls could get down to on a Saturday night.

House | Go Deep With Oliver Heldens “Heldeep Radio 38”

Posted by on February 21, 2015

Taking the underground to the main stage, Oliver Heldens brings us another episode of “Heldeep Radio” that’s sure to bring the vibes on Saturday tracks from Gregor Salto, Jasper Dietze, Bingo Players, and more. My favorite track has to be Gregor Salto’s remix of Clinton’s Sparks’s “Geronimo” featuring T-Pain and Ty Dolla Sign. In the words of Oliver Heldens… enjoy! ^_^ ^_^

If you’re looking for a break from hard bass and loud synths take a step back with Veeshy and his latest ‘Reverse Swing’. Perplexity Music has been on point lately, and Veeshy demonstrates another producer with a capability to take his audience on a digital tour into the depths of melodic oceans. The break is creative, and I’m happy the label previewed this portion of the track. This track is stunning and the remixes relaxing, take a look for yourself.

DO SOMETHING

Indie | Bad Wave – Look Out

Posted by on February 17, 2015

This track is a little weird. Cluttered with futuristic plucks and sounds ‘Look Out’ is a freshly constructed futuristic indie track with seductive vocals. This is a track made for a long drive. With vocals like they were sung by Thomas Mars (of Phoenix) Bad Wave have something brewing here and its catching on.

A few weeks ago I got word of a rising star in the Vancouver, Canada deep house scene and its no surprise that this track has become a remix favourite by many aspiring artists. Looks like the city is still buzzing with talent in the scene as SYRE slips in his rendition of the original ‘All In My Head’ with nu-disco waves that deliver ear candy through your headphones. This track classier than a bottle of DOM, here, have a taste.

Deep House, House | EDX – Remember House

EDX - Remember House RAW CR (1)

2014 was a transient year for EDX, as we saw a shift in his production style from up-beat, melodic progressive house to a deeper, groovier sound. Works like “Breathin’” and his remix of Nora En Pure’s collaboration with Sons of Maria, “Uruguay,” were all huge hits, and that remix has been #2 on Beatport’s Deep House chart for more than a week now.

As 2015 is getting going, EDX continues his run of deep house releases, as seen in the preview of his forthcoming track, “Remember House.” The track is a departure from the progressive house genre that EDX has already conquered, rather it is a deep house smash, characterized by an archetypal house rhythm, an old-school vocal hook of “Do You Remember House,” and a melodic riff that lulls listeners into a deep groove. Preview the track here, and stay tuned for the released on March 2nd on Beatport.

Mexico producer That’s Nice shares a new original single “Holiday,” featuring Josh Moriarty of Miami Horror. The past has seen That’s Nice remix the Australian band’s single “Colours In The Sky” and connect over their musical similarities. “Holiday” is a track brimming with horns, an undeniably catchy chorus, and the sounds of summertime.
