Alternative | Beat Noir Deluxe Drops new Single, “Start Over Again”

Posted by on August 8, 2022

After building a fresh and diverse catalogue of bouncing electronic gems over the last few years, singer/songwriter, composer, and producer Sascha G aka Beat Noir Deluxe has now returned to deliver his latest vibrant offering via “Start Over Again.” The Depeche Mode-influenced single has indie and rock elements while still having a 1980’s electronic vibe to it at the same time. Along with the release of the track, comes a slick visual that you can tune into above now.

Speaking about ‘Start Over Again’, he describes it as “vocally very varied, the text is about the ending of relationships and the new beginning, which can be stressful if you are looking for stability up to the feeling of experiencing the same thing over and over again.”

Bass | Koinu Keeps The Trap & Bass Coming With “IceIce” Remix

Posted by on March 29, 2016

Koinu is Varien, one of Monstercat biggest, baddest, and most unique artists. Hes started a new side project called Koinu which features modern dressed anime girls posing, dope ass bass music, videos – an overall experience.

Before I dive in, I want to know, htf does Koinu do that with his font/text? There’s no program/app that forces his font to conform to other fonts no matter what it seems, Koinu makes everyone else’s code conform to his font..crazy.

Anyway, back to the music. The best way Koinu can be described is a blend of the trap-dubstep sound that is being thrown around these days and eastern culture. Nick has always been good at creating worlds, it looks as if he is doing it again.

Future House | Oliver Heldens & Tiesto Keep the Dutch Proud with “Wombass”

Oliver Heldens continues to be the ringleader of bringing future house to the mainstream with his latest collaboration, “Wombass,” with dance music veteran, Tiesto. The track has been a regular in the sets of both DJs for some months now, and has finally made its release with a bonus music video to go along. The pumping bass line and groovy synths make the track an instant dance floor anthem. Following the man deemed the “Wombass,” the music video takes a strange turn once we see him dancing and gyrating around his ridiculous pink stretch limo. The video continues its odd nature as Heldens and Tiesto receive a text and just walk away from whatever is occupying them at the moment to presumably meet up with Wombass. Check it out for yourself, and head over to Beatport to buy the tune.

So Saturday night I’m just about to steam out of NYC in the FNT mobile and I get a text from Kinetics saying he’s in the studio (mind you its 11) with none other than our other affiliated artist Loggy. Of course it was too late for me to make moves but I was excited that our guys were linking up. I figured they must have hit it off pretty well to be wasting away such party time and from the looks of the video above, they did. Mark my words, this is going to be a big track. That’s just a taste of an upcoming project which will be dropping in the near future. Below are some other cuts hip-hop cuts we missed today.

Dubstep, Electro | ELECTRONIC | Skrillex

Everyday I get a text message that goes a little something like this, “Dooddd why can’t I stop listening to Skrillex?” To be honest, I’m stuck in the same boat and have yet to come up with a bulletproof reply. Why? Because its difficult to explain the wide spread appeal that artists like Deadmau5 and Skrillex are realizing (I intentionally put them in the same sentence because Skrillex may just blow up that much). Personally, I’ve always loved heavy ugly whomps and bass hits as long as they are offset by angelic acapellas. Its similar to the sour patch kids effect; at first they’re sour, then they’re sweet and somehow when all is said and done, you love them (see commercial above). If anyone has an ironclad reasoning for why these sounds quench so many ears, please let me know in the comments section. Below are some ill remixes to his work… For instant updates, follow him on Twitter and Facebook.
