While his fan base is exploding like no other up and comer in the game, Logic releases the final single off his highly anticipated mixtape, Young Sinatra: Undeniable. I had the privilege to meet up and interview with Logic at his performance this past Sunday in Boston. Let me start off by saying he is one of, if not the most personable, well spoken, appreciative artists I have ever met. Taking the time to personally connect one on one with every fan at some point during the night, every fan left as a friend. With that being said, my love for his music continues to escalate along with my respect for him as an artist and a person.
This single, “Tic Tac Toe” was produced by in house Visionary Music Group producer, 6ix, along with Official OB. As expected, several people began making comparisons between Logic and Drake after his last single, Numbers, which was a result of Logic lowering his voice and singing as Drizzy often does. Logic’s answer to that, “Logic is Logic”. The versatility we’ve seen so far with the 4 singles have shown what Logic is capable of, offering up so many subgenre’s of hip-hop while maintaining a high level of lyrical expertise on each track. Crank this one up, this record is going to be huge!

The homie Tayyib Ali teams up with Cisco Adler to drop a smooth, upbeat, warm weather jam. I’m really feeling the chemistry that the duo have together on this one. I hope this wasn’t/won’t be the only collaboration these two do together. Added to summer playlist? Check! I caught up with Mike Stud while he was in Minneapolis, MN on his Toast To Tommy Tour. He has to be one of the chillest guys that I’ve met. He was down with all his fans at the show, and took time to meet pretty much everyone that wanted. Not only was Mike Stud an awesome dude but DJ Fader was as well. These two as a duo on the road are unbeatable. They know how to have a good time and that’s just what we did!

I also sat down with Mod Sun after the show. He was one of the opening acts and definitely “lived” it as he would say. He’s a great artist from Minnesota and definitely one of my favorite out right now. This interview was a bit out of control, but a great time nonetheless. Yes, I’ll admit we had more than one drink before we filmed this! It’s funny to see how my personality did a 360 in a matter of hours between filming these interviews. I brought up the topic of favorite upcoming artist(s) and it ended up turning into our favorite artists, haha. Shouts to Tayyib Ali, Sammy Adams, and Cam Meekins on this one!? Enjoy.

As promised, Logic drops the mp3 for the third release off his upcoming mixtape, Young Sinatra: Undeniable, after doing over 200k on Youtube in the first week. This track “Numbers” was produced in house by the first producer signed to Visionary, 6ix. Men lie, women lie, number’s don’t I see that. V’s up, thank us later for introducing you to Logic.

Ah, I remember the days when Tayyib Ali was just starting out with his debut mixtape. Now, every new song he releases has us on the edge of our seats, with good reason though. Tayyib has been killing it and ascending to stardom is the next stop on his journey. Jahlil beats on the switches while Tayyib goes in. Just last week FNT had an exclusive opportunity to link up with Philly’s own, Tayyib Ali, for an interview prior to his headlining show in Boston. We discussed his upcoming project, recent and upcoming collabs, the plethora of artists coming up from PA, what he does outside of music & more. Big ups to Boston’s finest clothing and kicks boutique, Laced, for giving us an opportunity to catch Tayyib during his in store meet and greet earlier in the day.
In other news, Tayyib’s debut video off his last mixtape, Keystone State of Mind, surpassed 500,000 hits on YouTube today so be sure to check that if you haven’t already.

Pittsburgh native, Devin Miles, was fortunate to have a chance to grab a verse from Tayyib Ali who was breezing through the studio. Representing their respective area codes, Devil Miles delivers a strong first verse before the prince of Philly comes in with an impressive verse of his own. Lot of talent coming out of PA these days. Just to clarify, several blogs have labeled this track as Tayyib’s, but in fact it is Devin’s with a feature from Tay and will not be featured on any of Ali’s upcoming projects.
