After releasing a couple sneak peeks such as “Tomorrow” & “Like I Used To” the remaining 16 unreleased tracks are ready for our listening pleasure. Tayyib delivers another well-rounded project that contains only one feature and ton of great productions from the likes of Statik Salektah, 2Astronauts, 6ix, Teddy Roxpin & many more. Many of us have been starving for a new video from young Tayyib Ali and after a year long visual hiatus. After releasing “Like Dat”, the first single off his highly acclaimed sequel mixtape to Keystone State of Mind, a few months back, Tay teams up with FTS Creative to add a visual treatment to the reflection track. With production coming from 52 Kings, Philly’s prince reflects on his life and career while riding smoothly on a clean set of trucks. No release date set for #KSOM2 just yet, but I know how anxious Tay is to share his new music with us so I would presume a first quarter ’13 release.

Hip-Hop | Tayyib Ali – Like I Used To (Prod. 2Astronauts)
Posted by LoffyG on October 29, 2012
There is no doubt that when Tayyib Ali released his Keystone State of Mind mixtape, we got something special. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the young visionary’s next installment, Keystone State of Mind 2. His newest 2Astronauts produced track “Like I Used To” proves just what I’m talking about. Tayyib delivers a smooth flow, accompanied by an amazing chorus that you can’t help but vibe to. Keep on the lookout for Keystone State of Mind 2 as well as a joint project between Tayyib and Cisco Adler.
Hip-Hop, Pop | Jared Evan – Charlie Brown (Remix) ft. Emilio Rojas, Wax, & Tayyib Ali
Posted by Grubeats on October 24, 2012
After receiving incredible feedback on his standout single from his recept EP, The 4th Chapter, Jared Evan enlists quite the lineup for the official “Charlie Brown” remix. Crafted by Jared and the infamous !llmind, this childhood reflection tale will have you snapping back to elementary school reminiscing over the tribulations that had Jared feeling like that lovable loser, Charlie Brown. I’d say there are no longer any black clouds for Rojas, Wax, and Tayyib who all bring the heat on their verses, reflecting on how they went from the laughing stock to the star of the show.

[First off, I’d like to apologize to everyone for the lack of hip-hop delivered by myself over the last couple weeks. One of those times when the “real job” takes priority over the “dream job”. I’ve highlighted some of the tracks I’ve missed lately, so although they may be a bit late, they all need to be heard. Hope you enjoy. – Grubeats]
Mid tour, Timeflies deliver the latest episode of The Clockumentary. Welcome to the show.
West Coast prodigy, Kendrick Lamar is busy tending to the media as they boast the beauty of his first studio album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, released today under Top Dawg Ent, Interscope, and Aftermath. Grab the album on iTunes or head to your local Target and pick up a physical copy of the deluxe edition. This is one of those albums you’ll show your kids one day (when they’re old enough).

Feeling froggy once again, Tayyib drops off another loose track featuring fellow Philly-via-Flint native, Gilbere Forte, for a stunt worthy cruising track. With a Nintendo inspired beat crafted by 2Astronauts, this is the type of track I’ve been waiting to hear from Tay.

Newcomer Nick Ingram lets go a Cuey laced feature entitled, “This Moment”, which is featured on his brand new free album, Chrome Roses.

While Seattle’s fan base is currently captivated by the success of Macklemore, young preacher, Sol, continues to release very impressive and insightful music. Amidst his journey in East Africa, Sol continues to write and even record overseas, delivering a new perspective in his music. Enjoy this one and expect another album coming from the Zilla early in 2013 (hopefully).

I introduced Devine Carama to FNT a couple weeks back with his final single, “White Girl Lost”, before the release of his mixtape, It Was Rewritten (A Nas Tribute). As if the mixtape wasn’t enough, Carama lets loose an additional track, “ADHD Flow”, that reinforces his lyrical artillery.

KURT has impressed me over and over with his freestyles and remixes over some of the hottest industry hits. Although this one isn’t hot off the vinyl, I don’t believe it has received the credit it deserves. With that being said, enjoy this rendition of “Diced Pineapples”.
