News | FestiCrates.com Starts First Ever Subscription Box For Dance Music
Posted by VMan on February 4, 2016
Festicrates.com is a dance music subscription box that is curated to the interests of multiple fan groups within the scene. Essentially, you input your gender and select a box suited to your interest, and FestiCrates will send you a variety box of items to your door monthly, curated to you.
The boxes can be purchased month-to-month, or more long term. The longer you invest the larger discount you get.
At the same time, Festicrates has opened up a store where a large amount of accessories and clothing can be per-ordered.
Looks like orders on both fronts won’t be shipping until April, but the premise looks promising. Learn more about FestiCrates from their socials and video above.

Pop | MNYS Drops His Brand New “Proud” Single
Posted by BIGLIFE on April 8, 2015
When longtime FreshNewTracks.com compadre Luke Heffernan (who I suspect you all know from Timeflies) hits you about a new artist, you listen. Hailing from New York, MNYS is an unsigned singer and songwriter that just dropped his brand new “Proud” single off his forthcoming “My New York Summer” EP slated to release April 13. Keep an eye on this rising artist. I think he’s got much more in store for us as summer inches closer.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard a Progressive House track as beautiful as “Lights Go Down” – and we listen to A LOT of music. Combining beautiful vocals with a melodic yet powerful chord progression, The Jane Doze’s debut single is one of those rare tracks that make you want to close eyes, put your hands up, and just take it all in. We’ve been following these girls since day one and can promise you they’re about to have a HUGE year. Keep an ear out for the rest of 2015, but for now, be sure to support them by purchasing their track on iTunes!
Trap | Miles Medina Remixes Drake’s “OVO Butter”
Posted by BIGLIFE on February 5, 2015
Fun fact: Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne’s “Truffle Butter” samples Maya Jane Cole’s “You Know” but I digress. Interlock’s Miles Medina bring the turn up with his latest “OVO Butter” remix that I can see a bunch of girls twerking their *ssess to this weekend. Even better? It’s a free download. Stay on the look out for this San Francisco based producer. I have a feeling he has much more in store.

Indie | Just Kiddin’ – Thinking About It (ROOM8 Remix)
Posted by JT on January 14, 2015
This promo just landed in my dropbox and I have to say I was blown away. The boys at Room8 have flipped the original tune and added a futuristic element oriented by midnight sounds and carried away into a 90s inspired rock vibe. This one is catchy – they utilized the vocals effectively and constructed a quality tune. I’m very impressed by Room8 and look forward to what they have in store for us.
Review | Krewella – Say Goodbye
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 23, 2014

I like Krewella. I find them personally and musically appealing. Every single time they’re in Dallas they take a moment to speak with us, which they don’t have to do. They’ve long graduated from this site and there’s not much we can do for them at this point. That said, I hate writing bad reviews. I try to ignore what I don’t like and promote what I do. In this case I have to shoot our readers straight: Krewella’s “Say Goodbye” single is extremely underwhelming. It has very few redeeming qualities and is hard to listen to at times. It sounds like a rejected Evanescence demo with drum and bass produced around it. Frankly, I’m shocked this was even approved for release. They’re under a great deal of pressure (you can read their legal response here) and put this song out to quell some of the backlash. I don’t blame them. I just wish they would have come out of the gates swinging. Releasing a massive tune would have silenced those predicting their demise immediately. I haven’t given up on them just yet.
Let’s wait and see what Krewella have in store for us next.
