Fresh off of a performance on HARD’s Holy Ship!, The Interns are back with the fourth episode of their esteemed mix series, “The Interns Present: To the Moon and Back.” The duo of Toks and Colby were relative newcomers to Los Angeles’ immense dance scene last year, but they’ve quickly captured the hearts of house and techno lovers everywhere with their feel-good take on house music. Each of The Interns’ mixes give us a glimpse at the duo through a different lens, but all of the unique mixes are tied together by their strong curation. “The Interns Present: To the Moon and Back” is no different, as the hour-long mix features some of the best techno cuts in dance music expertly woven together to take listeners on a journey through space to the moon and back.

There are artists and songs in that have the power to transcend the dance space and set their own trends. Blase Boys Club’s Duke Dumont is one of those artists. He doesn’t post meme content. He doesn’t drop a weekly podcast. He doesn’t drop a new track every month. His releases are few and far between, which signals a higher level of care and quality to the music. Case and point: Duke’s new 80’s pop inspired “Ocean Drive” single off his forthcoming “Blase Boys Club Pt. 1” EP. When the entire dance space is zigging, Duke is zagging, which is why we love him. We expect this tune to be a massive one.

With festival season in full swing, it seems like there’s a brand new festival with an impressive lineup popping up every weekend. Like most people, it’s never easy for me to decide which festival is worth my money, especially with so many great festivals to choose from, and unfortunately, festival scheduling just got a little harder because Billboard is entering the festival space with their very own Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival. The premise of the Billboard’s festival is to feature artists on their Top 100 charts, and with headlining performances by pop stars like Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Nicki Minaj, there will be no shortage of top 40 music. Dance music stars like Skrillex, Kygo, and Axwell /\ Ingrosso are all slated to play the Billboard Hot 100 Festival as well. All the way out in Amsterdam, The Him are continuing to crush the blog space with their infectious remixes and originals that are catching the attention of just about everyone in the dance space. We are happy to premiere a little Monday morning pick-me-up from Tailor Trip & Slex as they remix the brand new “One By One” from Italian producer, DJ GloVibes and noted singer in the dance space, Luciana. Though this collaboration may not have the same star power as some of the other tracks Luciana has worked on with the likes of Tiësto, Hardwell or KSMHR, it packs a similiar punch with the new remix that adds an anthemic touch to the single.
