Osen & Baha - The Warrior (Lush & Simon Remix)

We have already introduced you to these two super talented Italians, so I don’t have to tell who they are again, but I will hammer in the point that these guys are set to be the next big thing in dance music. This remix has already been played by Tiesto, Matisse & Sadko & Judge Jules, with more support surely coming. They go for a big, bold melody, injecting their own sound into the big-room original from Osen, using Baha‘s vocals to their advantage. Look for this on Cr2 Records, October 7th.

Rudimental

Rudimental have taken the world by storm. Their single “Feel The Love” rose to the top of the charts in the UK and became a worldwide phenomenon. They have not stopped there with a host of other chart topping singles like “Not Giving In” and “Waiting All Night”. Their live show is about as energetic and “live” as there is in dance music, bringing what they call “a carnival atmosphere” to every festival and city they visit. The foursome have come a long way with their album “Home”, showing their strong UK dance influences, while keeping it soulful and unique on every track.

We had the chance to chat with them after their show with Emili Sandé two weeks ago in Central Park and talk about their incredible music videos, trying to build on their success and what they have coming up, including tracks with The Game and Ed Shereen. Click past the jump for the full interview, but before you do, watch their video for “Right Here”, it is epic. You can grab their now Platinum selling album “Home” on iTunes here. Big congrats to the guys for that!

Featured, Interviews | FNT Catches up With Ferry Corsten at Electric Zoo 2013

Ferry Corsten @ Electric Zoo 2013

The FNT squad caught up with perennial trance king Ferry Corsten on Friday before his Electric Zoo set — and as always, Ferry had lots of excellent insights into the state of trance, what’s in store for the the scene, and (of course) his buddy Markus Schulz. Before doing anything else, including reading this interview, check out his set below if you missed the vibes. While he played a solid mix of new stuff (including his forthcoming track), he also dipped into the archives and brought out a few vaunted members of the old guard — like 2009’s “Beautiful,” an insane bootleg of the ever-funky “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim, and of course recent Beatport-topper “Gouryella.” And let’s not forget his recent collaboration with Giuseppe Ottavani, “Magenta,” which is certainly old at heart.

Electro-House | Blasterjaxx – Fifteen (Hardwell Edit)

Posted by on September 9, 2013

Blasterjaxx - Fifteen (Hardwell Edit)I don’t usually like a lot of these festival-drop type of songs, but this one I have been waiting on for quite some time. Blasterjaxx have become one of the premier hit-makers in this market with tracks like “Miami”, “Faith”, “Puzzle” and now “Fifteen”. The track seems to sound the same, besides the vocals in the drop being changed from “Everybody Fucking Jump” to “Drop fifteen in the EDM scene”. Expect to hear this quite often this fall, if you haven’t been already, as dance music starts to move indoors.

Pop | Vera Flash – Masochistic

Vera Flash I AMA MUSEUM

NYC artist Vera Flash just released a video for her single “Masochistic” off her 4 track EP “I Am A Museum,” and I am impressed. Vera linked up with Brooklyn producer Rusty Mack to put together a dark and poppy sound, comparable to the likes of Santigold, Lady Gaga, and M.I.A. The Colin Palmer directed video is a work of art, and we can always expect something different from Vera when it comes to visuals, you should see her video “Hustle.” This is overall a strong project, and a good teaser for the sound that we can anticipate in the future from Miss Flash. I look forward to hearing more from Vera and her team! Shout out to Rusty Mack and Red Walrus!

Progressive House | Thand feat. John Harris – Freefall

Thand feat. John Harris - Freefall
Having officially joined forces with fellow Swede, Steerner, we were not sure how much original work Thand was going to be doing on his own. From the sound of it, each is doing just fine of their own, especially Thand with this release. This is a free big-room treat with soaring vocals from John Harris, that take the track from being solid, to great. Did I mention it was free, no strings attached?
