Chill | Showtek, MOTi, and Starley Team Up On Feel-Good Original “Down Easy”
Posted by VMan on August 2, 2018
Showtek continues to showcase a new side of the alias, highlighting a more laid-back, chill vibe versus the big-room sounds his beginnings were built on. Alongside MOTi and Starley, Showtek has created a feel-good dance song with a highly infectious drop. The melody and stand-out sound in this particular area allows the single to breathe, while the cadence of fresh voice on top forms a distinct relevancy storm that easily sweeps listeners off their feet – a unique collision of culture and originality.
One can hope this won’t be the last time these three work together again.
House | Showtek Explores New Sound With “90’s By Nature”
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 29, 2014
Showtek, best known for mindless progressive bangers, has jumped over into the future house lane. Smart move, as groovy house tunes will be “in” come 2015. Reported earlier that “90’s By Nature” borrows heavily (that’s putting it nicely) from Girls Love DJ’s “Bigfoot” bootleg, Showtek and MC Ambush presumably have a hit on their hands with this new effort. Who will jump on the future house bandwagon next? Only time will tell. “90’s By Nature” is available via SKINK on Beatport now.

Future House | Showtek Redies “90s By Nature” Featuring MC Ambush

Everyone is making future house tunes, which I can’t be upset about. It’s a new sound (pioneered
largely by Tchami and Oliver Heldens) that artists who previously made generic progressive house nonsense (like Showtek) are now all over. Regardless, this is a fat tune. The only issue I have with it is that a producer named Girls Love DJ’s teamed up with Praia Del Sol to make a “Bigfoot” re-work that was released in September that sounds strangely similar. Of course, all the Soundcloud links are down, however, a Youtube video still exists. Play the two tracks side by side and tell me that isn’t a variation of the same track. I’m not accusing either party of wrong-doing, but something is up. What I find fascinating is that Showtek either scooped the track from these guys or was producing under a new name to avoid detection and criticism from his fan base. “90’s By Nature” drops December 29th.

Bass, Trap | Showtek – FTS (SAY MY NAME VIP Remix)
Posted by Nick on January 29, 2014
It’s not everyday that you encounter an artist who in his bio classifies his own music as “one big wet fart,” and then delivers tracks that are up to the caliber (if not above the caliber) of some of the biggest names out there today; so, if you haven’t already heard of SAY MY NAME, now is probably a pretty good time to check him out.
Aside from being able to incorporate a sense of humor into his bass-filled tracks (see the Barney Theme remix [which actually isn’t bad, IMO]), this LA native also has the capacity to make everyone listening want to get on their feet and turn up like there’s no tomorrow. In his most recent track, a VIP of a previously released “FTS” remix, SAY MY NAME throws it up a level, infusing trap and hardstyle elements over three huge drops. Don’t miss the free download on this one, or I promise you’ll regret it.

Electro-House | Showtek – We Like To Party
Posted by Middy on December 30, 2013
Just in time for your NYE celebrations, Showtek drop off another massive single, aptly named “We Like To Party”. Like their outrageous stage personality, Showtek’s larger than life productions embody the no holds bar, unbridled raging attitude that comes from listening to Showtek. “We Like To Party” has the power and style you expect from a Showtek production, raising the bar technically and creatively for what big room electro house should be. The first single from their newly launched record label Skink, we can only hope to see stuff like this in the future.
