Electronic | Tobtok Showcases New Sound On “Satellite”
Posted by VMan on May 18, 2022
Swedish dance sensation Tobtok is back with potent new single ‘Satellite’ featuring the mesmeric vocal topline of Danish singer/songwriter Arinn. Released on 13th May via Perfect Havoc, London’s chart-topping label, this new release captures an evolution in sound for the label’s talisman as he bridges the gap between commercial and underground.
Following the impressive ‘My Carousel’ featuring renowned dance vocalist Jem Cooke on Selected, Tobtok wastes no time in sharing another slice of his refined sonic palate. ‘Satellite’ effortlessly crosses over into tougher grooves and meatier melodies whilst retaining the chirpier elements of his past productions. The singleis an instantly gripping affair, kicking off with a catchy vocal hook before diving into firm drum work, pulsating sub-bass and a gritty synth lead that carry the track forwards and bring an undeniable danceability.
Tobtok aka Tobias Karlsson, is one of the most talented artists leading the new wave of Swedish electronic music DJ / producers. He has generated over 500 million streams globally across his original work, remixes and productions for Joel Corry, Robin Schulz and Karen Harding to name a few, on such illustrious labels as Ministry of Sound, Kitsuné and of course, his home at Perfect Havoc.
Tobtok’s highlight outings include the Australian double platinum record, ‘Fast Car’; flexing his DJ skills on Toolroom Records’ ‘Miami Poolside’ compilation; and the 2020 release ‘New Levels’ which as well as being made ‘Tune of the Week’ on BBC Radio 1, picked up key DJ support from Sam Feldt, Sigala, Tiësto and many more.
Arinn (aka. Astrid Ankjær) bridges her own gap between sweet ‘n’ sour and clean ‘n’ gritty. Her productions, lyrics and versatile vocal melt together in juicy soundscapes of ‘feels’ that somehow still relate to each-other. She most recently released ‘Regret’ with Astrality on esteemed label Selected, which has been streamed close to 5 million times.
Perfect Havoc – shortlisted for Best Independent Record Label at the 2022 Music Week Awards – is one of the most successful indie dance labels of recent years. Its trademark sound of commercial dance with a smattering of the more club-focused has generated the label over 3 billion streams. It’s given rise to six UK Top 20 singles including the No.1 single ‘Head & Heart’ by four-time Brit Award nominated producer, Joel Corry.
With a talent-packed schedule for 2022 that also features releases from Just Kiddin, PS1, Varski, Charlie Hedges, Oliver Nelson and many more, Perfect Havoc is guaranteed to serve up a ton of accessible and underground house sounds from both breaking and established talent.

Two outstanding talents have joined forces on the single, “The Riddle.” Sam Feldt and Lateshift are the names of focus on this one, putting together their multi-talented sensibilities on one track to create something that will stand the test of time. Colorful and friendly, “The Riddle,” is a track that will pull you out of a lull, instantly gripping with it chipper mood and positive vibes. Percussion that lands with a certain smoothness alongside a piano-house like vibe form the baseline of the vocal work. Lateshift leaves it all on the table with his toplines, helping equip, “The Riddle,” to have the ability to hook itself in deep and clearly make it known it’s here to be in your life for the long term.
Sam Feldt has had what seems to be a never ending flow of success in his life, “The Riddle,” being the next extension of the quality he’s able to regularly put out there. Feldt is a man of many hats, while doing the regular activities like putting out long-lasting hits, touring, and the like, he also runs his own charity, Heartfelt Foundation, which builds toward a more social and sustainable dance music industry. More recently, his involvement in entrepreneurial platform Fangage has led to receiving over 2.5 million dollars in it’s first round of investment.
“The Riddle” releases on Heartfeldt Records/Spinnin’ Records and is out on all major DSP’s.

Chill | Steve Void Makes Biggest Hit Yet “Chemistry (ft. Clara Mae)”
Posted by VMan on September 15, 2016
Steve Void made it into this week’s New Music Friday playlist on Spotify, he has well over 500,000 plays now, has garnered 10 million plays to his name overall, and isn’t stopping anytime soon.
The soloist based out of Europe has crossed future bass and the best elements of chill house to make a track that is a true hybrid.
Steve has an upcoming collaboration with Sam Feldt, so keep an eye out for that one as well.
Chill | Steve Void’s “Chemistry” Hit’s #4 On SoundCloud’s “New & Hot” Overall Chart And Climbing
Posted by VMan on September 8, 2016
Steve Void is one house artist who’s hard to ignore. Few come close to his sound design ability and knowledge regarding chill house and deep house trends, and he’s been rewarded for this. Steve Void has over 11 million streams attained in under a year. If that doesn’t scream success I don’t know what does.
Steve Void’s “Chemistry” features a beautiful blend of chill house elements that have taken over the scene in the last couple of years while also taking a stab at the future bass explosion that is upon us. I’d be looking out for big things from this artist, such as a new collaboration with, let’s say, with Sam Feldt. (Hint hint.)

Based out of Germany, Luca Schreiner is repping for the Germans on the indie-house front, delivering an official cover of Everything But The Girl’s “Missing,” with vocals from Kimberly Anne, whom graced Sam Feldt’s radio hit “Show Me Love.” Truth be told, Luca is a name I’ve been paying attention to since his remix for OMI, “These Are The Days,” released officially on OMI’s album. Press play on the video above, and watch a love story between two Belgian shepherds develop. This one’s an absolute must listen, and must watch!

Any day with new Sam Feldt music is a good day, and we’ve got a gem from the Spinnin’ Deep all-star today. Hot off the heels of his stand-out original, “Drive You Home,” with The Knocks, the 22-year-old Dutch wunderkind has unveiled a special edit of On June’s cover of “The Devil’s Tears” to celebrate the dawn of the fall season. Opening the track with uplifting, arpeggiated guitar riffs before breaking down with subtle bongos and shakers, Feldt’s edit of “The Devil’s Tears” has some serious vibes.
