Rook Milo’s camp just sent over the first single “Bodyroll” off his upcoming EP, released via MMVIII , sampling the sexy Rihanna, and this is one you can smoke to, get laid to, pretty much do anything trill to, shit have your girl strip for you to this tune, and excuse my bravado on this post, but it’s hard to not feel like a G when you’re bumping this tune. Bass heavy, synth heavy, quit playing and just press play, and look out for Rook’s upcoming Ep! This is a must listen!

You might remember me posting a few weeks back “Outland” by Canadian producer Rook Milo, well his camp just us with his remix of Drake’s “The Language” and the drums, bass and old school Daft Punk vocal edit, on the hook, make the record. Going for a darker, smoky vibe, I can hear this remix dropped at the late night after parties for all those who love to vibe out on the dancefloor. Rook also wanted to make sure to shout out his drug dealer for “making this all possible,” so with that said, roll something up, vibe out and press play. This is a must listen and a must download!

Chill | Rook Milo – Outland

Wow is all I have to say about this latest release by Rook Milo, “Outland,” a soulful r&b minimalist trap record incorporating samples by Eddie Kendricks. Stemming from Canada, Rook makes what he modestly calls, according to his Facebook page’s description, Canadian computer music. Not sure if it’s the cold up North that’s inspiring him to make such bone chilling tunes, but I’m with it. This is hands down a must listen! Look forward to more Rook Milo soon!
Freestyle, Hip-Hop | Rook – Kingdom & No Church (Freestyle)
Posted by Grubeats on June 1, 2012
My dude Rook doesn’t swing often, but when he does he takes a big cut. His most recent track, “No Church (Freestyle)”, is a prime example of Rook jockin’ an industry beat. Maintaining an urbane tone with his words, the Cambridge, MA native punishes the 88-keys production with insightful and clever lyrics. The second track, “Kingdom” is an original, which will be featured on his upcoming mixtape entitled, MixedApe. With this, Rook does his part in putting New England on his back and continue to build his kingdom. It may be a long time coming, but who’s sleeping on Rook!?!?
