Looking for some early morning/late evening vibes? Try the homie ESTA.’s remix of breakout artist Alina Baraz’s track “Paradise.” The San Diego native took the Cashmere Cat-esque feel of the original track (which can be found HERE) and put his own, new wave spin on it. Definitely worth a listen – really a fan of the production quality on this piece.

Guys, you know how sometimes things go terribly wrong and you end up having to wipe the back of the toilet and/or think about changing your pants but it was clear af like it always is cause you mostly drink water so you don’t have to? Well guess what happened to me a couple minutes ago… I remembered how my gym teacher in the tenth grade said that she liked my hair and I just now realized that she was flirting with me. I’m sure that it’s not even a question as to whether or not she is still into me because I mean why wouldn’t she be. Chicago native Topher Jones is clearly still into Paramore’s “Still Into You”, seeing as how he remixed it a couple days ago and is giving it away for free. Honestly, the production quality of this track isn’t very high. The melody is catchy though and the drop is nice (and obviously the vocals are too), so it makes the cut. Cut is the better option and so is chewing gum loudly with your mouth open right next to me.

Electronic, Indie | Mansions On The Moon – Full Moon EP

Posted by on October 2, 2013

Mansions on the Moon dropped their first album ‘Paradise Falls‘ in late 2010 with some killer tracks that made people instantly bandwagon. 3 years later… and they’re still coming out with quality music that keeps to their style and does their overall image justice. ‘Full Moon EP‘ is a compilation of their 2 latest songs with a undertone of pop and overtones of electro-hop along with lyrics that are relatable and quality. Give them a listen and you’ll be a insta-fan too.

Progressive House | Don Diablo & Matt Nash – Starlight (Could You Be Mine) [Otto Knows Remix]

Posted by on September 30, 2013

Don Diablo & Matt Nash - Starlight (Could You Be Mine) [Otto Knows Remix]Otto Knows rarely releases a song, but when he does it is dynamite. He revamps the clubby original with melodic synth work and chopped vocals that we have seen him use so well. This is vintage Knows, as he continues to show that it is all about quality over quantity.

Trance | Estiva – Stratos

Posted by on September 21, 2013

EstivaGenerally, established producers don’t just drop tracks for free out of the blue. They wait for some social media milestone or a holiday to say thanks to the fans. With “Stratos”, Dutch trance producer, Estiva didn’t feel the need to wait for some moment to celebrate, but rather decided to gift his fans now with a free track. The quality is just as high as any of his other tracks, and with “Dinodrums” still rocking sets and the Beatport charts, it is great to see this from Estiva.

French producer EFIX is back at it with another quality production, collaborating with FLINT, to bring us “Wild Boy.” If you’re a fan of the saxophone, and groovy guitar lines infused within deep house, you should get to know EFIX and FLINT. EFIX is most likely one of my favorite producers in the game at the moment, and one to definitely keep your eye on, as his music has been making noise all over the world. As per the instruction of the Frenchman, I was told to say less, and have you guys get right in to the music. So without further adieu, enjoy! Must Listen!

Review | Jabra Revo Wireless Headphones

I recently got hit up by Sumpto (an awesome college rewards site – all college students out there should check it out!) to try out the new Jabra Wireless Revo Headphones. If I’m in the car, walking around campus, studying or just hanging out at home I am constantly listening to music. One problem I often run into with my current over-the-ear noise canceling headphones is the wires are always get in way, so I was very excited to try these wireless noise-canceling headphones. I received them from the company a few days ago and I have never fallen in love with headphones more than these. I have had these on all day and they are the perfect everyday headphone usage, providing top-notch sound quality and great noise canceling. They are an over-the-ear headphone and easily one of the most comfortable pairs I’ve ever put on. They have a very slim design and are not too bulky on your head so you can definitely rock these on campus and not stick out (unlike other headphones). The bluetooth sound quality is very good and as a sound quality geek, this was very important to me. Most wireless headphones sacrifice a lot of sound quality but the Jabra Wireless Revo headphones provide top notch sound quality. These headphones are amazing and I recommend them to any music lover out there, they are the perfect headphone for any college student. Be sure to check them HERE.
