J. Cole. Elite. Voli. Most probably don’t know their relationship, but the three have all worked together in the past. Cole has produced for Voli, Elite is signed to Cole’s label “Dreamville Records” and has produced for Cole, Voli has produced for Cole, Cole has been featured on Voli’s tracks. You get the picture right?
AOL Music put together a short video of ‘A Day In The Life of J. Cole”, in which they followed him around on the day Cole World: The Sideline Story was released. With 217,000+ copies sold in the first week, the album reached the #1 spot. The world is indeed Cole. Here’s what Cole had to say on the day his project hit the shelves.
“Today, I feel like it’s a collection of all the work I’ve been doing over the years mixed with the past two weeks of promo,” Cole tells The BoomBox. “Like, now that it’s finally here, I’m physically exhausted.”- J. Cole

Although Elite has made a career so far producing, here’s the first promising single off his mixtape, Awaken, due out November 11th. By the sound of this track, he may have more than one lane to gain fame.

After dropping the first official leak off J_ Mal’s upcoming album My Pride My Passion two weeks ago, it is about damn time that we hit you with another cut off this project. On Ride Wit Me, J_Mal comes at you with raw lyricism from the moment you press that play button. Make sure you stick with this track though because although this beat starts out pretty raw as well, things really start to get crazy after his opening verse. I am definitely feeling the ethereal beat and upbeat flow that J_Mal unloads on our ears in this track, and after checking it out, I am sure you will be itching to add My Pride My Passion to your collection when it drops right here on October 12th.

This video was shot in Chicago on Ian’s 18th birthday, and directed by Aaron Scharaga with the help of the rest of his Champagne Jelly team. Tayyib has been fairly quiet over the past couple months while his last mixtape, Keystone State Of Mind, is still finding its way to new sets of speakers. While we have no definitive answer for when Tay’s next project will be released or what it will be called, we do know this is the last work off KSOM and another mixtape is on its way in the near future. With KSOM nearly surpassing 40,000 downloads on Datpiff alone, Tayyib decided to put together visuals for one of the best songs off the project. “Yesterday”, produced by Vokab is more of a reflective song for the young price of Philly who has skated his way into the limelight among up and comers. The video itself was shot by Matthew Pitkoff who brought the camera’s back to the skate park to capture Tayyib sharing his adverse story.
