Chill, Electronic | Schoolboy Q – Studio (PromNite Edition)
Posted by mimada on May 14, 2014

“Studio” was hands down my favorite track off Oxymoron, but then again I’m a real sucker for those R&B//rap ballads. I’m also a sucker for just about anything mystery producer PromNite puts out. But hear me out on this remix here – PromNite keeps the deep, smokey vibes first brought to us by Schoolboy and BJ The Chicago Kid and mixes it up with some electronic beats, drums, and a touch of piano to make an even more sultry track that you won’t be able to wait to get down to. Dope.

Sir Bob has released the remix package for one of the most popular tunes from his recently released sophomore artist album “Hide”. We highlight Angger Dimas who keeps many of the natural elements of the original and then the drop comes in with unrestrained aggression, getting after it with fearsome kicks and snares and glitchy synths. Angger Dimas has been on fire with huge collabs the past year and keeps that going with a big time remix for the knightly producer.

Twenty-one year old German producer, David Bulla, has been making a name for himself over the past few months with exceptionally well done bootlegs, remixes and originals. After a quick 20 days since his last remix, he is back with another one, this time of London Grammar’s “Wasting My Young Years”. He keeps some of the original piano and guitar but turns the rest of the track progressive. The bassline during the drop is especially good.
