If you know electro, like to party, or are somewhat familiar with dubstep, you know Flux Pavilion. After his banger “Gold Dust” dropped a few months back, clubs, fraternities, and houses have been bumping his jam non-stop. You know when jewcebox does a single post, it’s a must download…

Albums | SkullyBoom Contest!

Posted by on November 10, 2010

Right about now your probably wondering what the hell a skully boom is, what the hell that little alien looking device is clipped on to that guys belt, and why the hell there isn’t a song included in this post. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce one of the greatest devices in the world of speakers ever created. This little guy is a portable speaker that is compatible with any musical device and is perfect for the mobile generation we’ve become. The back features a little clip so you can easily clip it on your belt and bump music while you walk, bike, drive, or skip (Biglifes favorite mode of transportation). Don’t under estimate the sb1’s size, this little guy BUMPS. It does at least twice what your mac computer speakers do and provides a bass loud enough to knock your girlfriends clothes off (no where near that loud), but the bass will leave you impressed.

CONTEST: “Like” Skullybooms facebook page. Click HERE. Then, the great minds at fresh new tracks and skully boom have created a madlib for you to do. Post the madlib on their facebook page, and the madlib that gets “liked” the most on their fbook page will be winning a free skully boom! CONTEST ENDS TOMORROW!

Madlib: “I (would) listen to artist/genre on my adjective/description skullyboom when I’m riding a noun/animal at (a/an/the) location.”

Example: – I (would) listen to Daft Punk on my little skullyboom when I’m riding an ostrich at the Olympics.

Girl Fire, Hip-Hop | Rock City – Morning, Noon & Night

It’s been a long, and I mean long road for Rock City. Their single, “Losing It” didn’t perform as expected over a year ago and were ultimately shelved by Akon. Akon said a few months back that he’d be releasing a new Rock City single sometime this year and I couldn’t contain my excitement. Here’s fun fact: Rock City was the first ever post on the site. We’re huge fans and this track produced by David Guetta absolutely kills.

Hip-Hop | J. Cole ft. Hayley Williams- I’m Coming Home

Posted by on October 30, 2010

A close friend to the site, Genuson, hit me with this a few weeks back. Although I was itching to post it, I gave him my word I wouldn’t. There are many blogs out there saying that this is a demo track for Diddy’s “Last Trainwreck Train To Paris”. Although I doubt that accuracy of that statement, I do know they made a mistake. They failed to mention that Hayley Willaims of Paramore is featured on the hook. I don’t know whether or not this will make J. Cole’s album, but it’s clear that Def Jam is trying to recreate the magic that was “Airplanes”.

The names aren’t looking familiar at all are they? That’s because they’re not. I try my best to be selective about what I post. I’ve really been cracking down lately though. I’ve been guilty of over-posting in the past. I’m all about quality over quantity. That’s why I giving you this mega-post to sort through. Just kidding. That being said, here’s some submissions that I thought were worthy of your ears. You may agree with me, you may disagree with me, but you’ve gotta respect me for keeping it consistent everyday. That being said, let’s get into it. P.S.- If I was in New York, Jimmy would have my vote. The rent really is too damn high.
