Dubstep | R Rated #49
Posted by Mach on October 3, 2012
The picture for this post is about to make sense. The track below has a music video, this video is NSFW but it is something that is different from most videos of this nature. Considering that I decided the video was just not safe enough to post up, but if you took the time to read this then click HERE. The track itself is sick, Ninja Kore did an outstanding job on this filth.
Bassex has been an artist I have been following for a long time now, he has even made it up on FNT quite a few times now. This upcoming remix has an interesting twist of melodic with filth. The vocal samples seem unnecessary but the instrumental alone are worth it. The remix drops October 18th.
This year was supposed to belong to Alvin Risk, but instead he release a less than satisfactory EP…and that was pretty much it. Like Skrillex, he is sitting on countless mind-blowing unreleased tracks, but he lacks the fan support his mentor has and should really start releasing more. This remix of his is off the new Halo soundtrack. This remix destroys, it makes you reevaluate Alvin’s future…for now.
I know, there are not enough free downloads on this weeks R Rated, but do not fear for next week is our 50th installment. For now let this tide you over for what is to come. Torus has not released a freebie in some time, this remix is epically pleasing. The drop happens without warning, making you wonder if you are even still on the same planet.

Dubstep | Ellie Goulding – Hanging On (Sound Remedy Remix)
Posted by Sev on August 7, 2012
I’m a little late on getting this post up, but nevertheless this remix is too incredible to not post. This is my first encounter with one of Sound Remedy’s tracks and I have to say that now I have high standards for this artist after hearing this. The intro has a nice soothing sound too it with it’s nice melody. It is crazy how all of Ellie Goulding’s tracks can be turned into a dubstep masterpiece and this track is surely that for her track Hanging On. Nothing short of perfection on this track. The unique sounding drop and well use of vocal accompaniment is what grabbed my attention the most on this remix.
Dubstep, Electro, Electro-House | Feed Me – Annie Nightingale BBC Radio 1 Mix
Posted by Mach on July 23, 2012
Last Saturday Feed Me appeared on Annie Nightingale’s BBC Radio 1 show. The show consisted of this 20 minute mix that Feed Me was nice enough to post on his Soundcloud for everyone. His mix contains many new tracks of his that he has been working on recently. This mix is incredible, it is such a treat for fans when an artist goes and plays this many unreleased works together. Feed Me is a class act, definitely one of favorites to listen to and see perform live. I hope this mix means he has something releasing soon.

Hip-Hop | The Deep Boyz – Fast Lane (feat. Fly Ty)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 15, 2012
A name that many of you haven’t heard before, The Deep Boyz, have released their best(and latest) track to date. You haven’t heard the name before because this group hasn’t seen the blogosphere…ever. So you heard it here for ladies and gentleman. Destello, owner of the first verse, is shipping out to Afghanistan in a few weeks, so it seemed fitting to post one of his final tracks before he goes to serve our nation. The Deep Boyz have a style of street rap scantily seen on our college music blogs. Make sure you stop by Destello’s facebook and thank him for his service to our nation.
Drum & Bass | Drum & Bass Fraturday
Posted by Mach on July 14, 2012
The weekly Drum & Bass post has seemed to be either on Fridays or Saturdays, mainly dependent on how satisfied we are with the Drum & Bass selection or how busy our Fridays tend to be. After drafting the post last night, I knew I had some great tracks for this post but was still disappointed in how much it actually contained. I am still not entirely satisfied, but some of these tracks can’t wait any longer.
First track is an awesome Reggae Hop styled Drum & Bass track from Jinx. With a little bit of Dub vibes as most Reggae has, this track is insanely catchy and addicting. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have already listened to it.

This next one is definitely the rare Drum & Bass funky party tune. Sampling some of the 90s babies favorite jams including beat sampling from Austin Power’s theme track and other Pop Culture references. A fun track to listen to or party to.

Although this is only a clip with no official release date, Mitis has been on roll lately. He has been dipping his toes in almost every electronic genre and taking names in the process. The Drum & Bass/Drumstep original of his is nuts, Mitis wastes no time in blowing your mind.
Hip-Hop, Videos | RiFF RaFF – LiL MAMA i’M SORRY
Posted by dshaq on July 6, 2012
Now usually “A” is the first to post good ole RiFF RAFF, but luckily I was able to snag it from him this time. What RiFF RAFF brings to the table is pure entertainment. Sure his lines are outrageous and even have my own father laughing at them, but that’s part of the appeal. He is the ultimate break from the normal and that’s why he is so awesome in my eyes…and A’s. With material and a personality like RiFF’s, don’t be surprised if he’s hanging around the RAP GAME for awhile.
