Electro | Eekkoo – Eekkoo EP
Posted by Middy on December 22, 2013
Hailing from Montreal, the Canadian producer releases a three track EP on the only label that seems fit for his music, deadmau5’s mau5trap. Eekkoo provides a wide variety of plucks, piano stabs and distorted synths over a common theme of fat bass lines, creating a hypnotic piece of dance music from start to finish. While it may be considered a bit close to “deadmau5 style”, Eekkoo has his own sound that has earned the praise of the big boss himself.

Chill, Trap | Drake – Too Much (GXNXVS Remix) (Feat. Sampha)
Posted by BP on December 3, 2013
I know, I know, you’re sick of seeing remixes of Drake’s songs… But I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this is probably my favorite Drake remix I’ve ever heard, and that’s saying something considering how many Drake remixes I see a day! This came out a week ago, but I don’t feel that it got the recognition it deserves. The vocals cuts are eerie and the piano is fantastic. Australian artist GXNXVS doesn’t have a lot of Soundcloud support, so go follow him and download this track for free!
Dubstep | Rollz – Burn Up feat. Katie’s Ambition (Dabin Remix)
Posted by BP on December 1, 2013
I always get excited about a new dubstep release! This melodic remix from Dabin of “Burn Up feat. Katie’s Ambition” by Rollz is a good addition to any dubstep collection. It’s got low rolling growls mixed with powerful female vocals. The piano and strings give it a cinematic and intense feel. It’s out on Itunes now and if Beatport is more your style it’ll be there on December 9th. Check it out!

Electronic | Cashmere Cat – With Me
Posted by mimada on November 26, 2013
With so many other DJ personalities to attend to and a blossoming career on the rise, it’s understandable we haven’t seen much from Cashmere Cat recently. However, yesterday this kitty premiered his newest track, “With Me,” via Pitchfork and Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. It’s everything you love about Cashmere Cat, with the distinctive beats, tambourines, soft piano chords, and those gentle builds that cascade one into the next. But “With Me” feels almost a little bit more intimate and softhearted than some of his previous work. Like a Drake ballad, this is the kind of song that when you listen to it alone, makes you feel like it was created just for you.
And it seems there’s more to look forward to! This song is just a preview of Cashmere’s “Wedding Bells” EP, set to release in January via LuckyMe Records. Fingers crossed the kitty doesn’t get cold feet! =^.^=

Electronic | Phazz – You
Posted by BP on November 20, 2013
Today I’ve got a new track for you from French artist, Phazz, out on the Cream Collective. This track is incredibly mellow, but not in the typical sense of the word mellow, with very prominent drum work. The strings and piano make it soft and haunting. Overall, it’s a very unique and chill track, and it’s free!
Trap | Cyril Hahn – Perfect Form Feat. Shy Girls (The Ninetys Remix)
Posted by BP on November 19, 2013
It’s no surprise that The Ninetys put out another sweet trap remix. This remix of “Perfect Form Feat. Shy Girls” by Cyril Hahn is on point. It’s got lots of drums, and the vocals are smooth and sultry. The hints of piano are a nice touch. This one’s a free download so be sure to grab it!
Progressive House | DEADMAU5 – Drop The Poptart (LEVI REMIX)

Last week, Deadmau5 quit Twitter and released a sampler of tracks he had been working on. My first question when the records came out was, is this the return of the Mau5? (As if he ever left…) Mach was quick to tell me to wait and see before jumping to conclusion, but I fell on this remix by Levi of “Drop The Poptart” and honestly it’s excellent. A strong electro-progressive-house bootleg remix that’s going to take you to the stars. I suggest you listen to this as loud as possible in your headphones, or on your speakers. This piano is cosmic, and the whole flow of this track is a journey. This is a must listen!
