The talented Hip Hop up and comer, Kenton Dunson, who brought us the impressive project, Creative Destruction 2, has given FNT the exclusive premiere of his latest song “Top of the World,” which samples Passion Pit’s “The Reeling.” The way he flipped “The Reeling” is really something else and takes advantage of the Passion Pit’s unique synths highlighted in the beginning of the original. “Top of the World” is definitely a track to cruise around town to… windows down.
“The internet is the proving to be the most powerful tool for upcoming artists like myself. You can really see the world and when that world is moved by your art…it’s an amazing feeling. So I based the song partially from that but also wanted to release one for those of us who are not only ambitious, but actually act on it and eventually succeed. This track has the most epic sound to it. I feel like the US team should run out into the stadium for the next Olympics to this. Good Daft Punk Tron track turned into greatness.

Passion Pit is just great at what they do. I was happy to see that they were the ones to make the first good remix of the new Beastie Boys track.

DARKROOM
Darkroom is a new, fast rising sub-genre of electro, although many have never heard the name before. It is a blend of electro and dubstep but maintaining a very strong electro beat. Savoy is silently dominating this sub-genre not so quitely. His tracks are hard, heavy, and amazing. Besides those great things Savoy is bringing back laser shows, nice.

This track and the Hooligans remix (posted below) is going to be featured on “The Grenade Sessions EP” as well as an acoustic remix and the original song. The Passion Pit remix is the exact style you’d expect from this chart topping indie group, it’s a must download.
