Jon Bellion’s creative process begins hours, day, weeks, maybe even months before he opens the doors and enters the studio. It begins as a concept and once Jon enters his element, the creative thoughts and sounds stack like Lego’s. Drums, one of a kind sounds Jon lets loose on the spot, & whatever other tricks he has up his sleeve on that given day – they all fill into each record. For those of you that saw & heard “One More Time” when Jon released it a few weeks back know the seductive story that inspired it all. What daddy don’t know, doesn’t hurt daddy, right? “One More Time” marks the second visual release from Jon off his sophomore project due out later this fall. With electronic elements built into the production, Bellion tells his lustful story of coitus with this beautiful young lady. The scandalous tale might bring life to Bloodhoung Gang’s most notable line, “Do it like they do on the discovery channel”, but don’t overlook the artistic elements stitched into this song — incredible. From the production to the visual work to the clever lines such as “screw your pops let’s get some iHop”, Jon really brought this scandalous story to life.
Stay tuned for another behind the scenes look into the creation of this track, as Jon plans to share another video similar to the one he just release for “Ungrateful Eyes”.
Albums, Review | A Belated Discussion of Random Access Memories

By now, you’ve already listened to Daft Punk’s fourth album in full. You may have streamed it on iTunes, or downloaded the rip when it leaked (even though ain’t nobody got time for 192 kbps…), or perhaps you waited patiently and saved your first listen for the official, high quality, purchasable version. Your opinion of the album is probably already cemented.
But that won’t stop me from trying to change it.
Hip-Hop | YONAS – One More Time

Gearing up for the release of his ‘ReMixtape’, entitled “The Translation”, YONAS knuckles up and takes a swing at Daft Punk’s house favorite from 2002, “One More Time”. YONAS has released a few remixes over the past several months, including his token track, “Pumped Up Kicks” which surpassed the million play mark on Youtube last month. Although the realest outta NYC is perfecting his remix game, he has ensured me he has plenty of original content on the way.
I first heard this track a month or so ago when I saw YONAS perform it live in Boston, instantly classifying it as a crowd pleasing hit. I was spoiled with a sub-par video recording of the performance I’ve been looping since, but this CDQ just made my day. If you’re a fan of house and/or Daft Punk, which I know many of you are, give this track a spin and ride with the Bronx native… One. More. Time.
