Trance | Super 8 & Tab Announce Album & Tour

Finnish trance duo, Super 8 & Tab have been a staple of the Anjunabeats roster in recent years, with contributions on other heavyweight labels like Armada, Garuda and others. They recently announced their sophomore artist album “United”, the follow up to the critically acclaimed “Empire” for release later this month on Anjunabeats. In conjunction with the album, they will be heading out on tour that hits a few cities in Asia and Europe before sweeping across the United States, hitting cities like New York, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco in November. The album hits stores October 27th, but until then take a listen to the phenomenal lead single from the album, “Let Go” featuring Julie Thompson, which will be released October 13th. Spinnin’ Records is having a big summer. So are the UK’s Higher Self, as they’ve just announced that “Ghosts” featuring Lauren Mason is set to release October 20th on the house that Oliver Heldens built. Speaking of Oliver Heldens, “Ghosts” was previewed on “Heldeep Radio 14” and The Magician’s “ The Magic Tape 45 ” which is no small accomplishment. Call it Nu-Bass. Call it Future House. Call it what you want. “Ghosts” from Higher Self and Lauren Mason is a prepped to be a certified smash.

Fans of these two have been waiting quite some time for this one. It seems like everyone wants a piece of the Oliver Heldens brand of “future house” and he is eager to dish it out, with very little changed. It is one thing to find a signature sound, which is incredibly difficult to do unto itself, but to be able to evolve within that and expand creatively is one of the marks of a great producer. “THIS” sounds an awful like “Gecko” and you can hear some influence of Sander van Doorn, but not much. The tune comes out October 6th and will probably be another Beatport chart topping hit.
