Hip-Hop | Aziz – My Own World [Music Video]

“What am I? Who am I? I’m heavily scrutinized, They say, “pick a nationality.” Either way I choose divides me”
Aziz has experimented with his sounds over the past few years, seen the highs and lows, and is back with a revamped style fitting for all fans of old and new. His previous single, “City Livin” which featured singer/guitarist Mike Irving was a very laid back acoustic jam, heavily suited for the season. The newest release, “My Own World” focuses on the adversity Aziz has been faced with throughout life, birthed from a German mother and a Senegalese father, Aziz is constantly questioned “what he is”. The NH born MC has fought through the doubt and disbelief and is again proving his abilities. These past 2 releases have been my favorite in quite some time from Aziz and I love the new sound he has brought to the table. New mixtape, Tinderboxx, due in late September.
Bootleg, Dubstep | Justice – D.A.N.C.E. (CRNKN Bootleg)
Posted by Grubeats on March 23, 2012
Oh God, Grube’s posting Dubstep, hide ya’ kids, hide ya wife! Yes, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone on this one and if you think I should go back into my hip-hop shell, tell me, I won’t be offended. CRNKN, who is a native to my Granite State, is a recognizable name for the avid FNT followers as he’s been stirring some audio waves for a couple months now. On top of that, anyone who saw my post on Logic’s Justice remix of “D.A.N.C.E.” knows how much I love the beat. I’m not going to try to sound technical like I know what I’m talking about cause I don’t, but trust me on this one, this joint from CRNKR cracks.
P.S. He’s looking for a new logo so any designers out there that are up for the task, hit him up on Facebook or Twitter and check his SoundCloud here.
Hip-Hop | Aziz – The 1990’s (One Love x Dead Presidents x Full Clip)
Posted by GMONEY on February 28, 2012
Aziz, a first generation American, born to a Senegalese father and German mother, spent most of his life in New Hampshire before moving to Boston to study and play basketball at Brandeis University. Blessed with the gift of gab, Aziz ‘s ability to command a room became apparent at an early age, and from the onset, his older brothers pushed him to turn to hip hop as an outlet. The advice clearly paid off, as Aziz has become a budding star in the blogosphere. The video above is a compilation of three verses taken from his mixtape “TwentyOne” that’s set to drop March 12th. The mixtape takes a track from each of the 21 years Aziz has been alive (1990-Today). It includes 21 different artists and 21 different producers over that time period and he spits 21 verses over those respective beats. This mixtape pays homage to the hip hop that inspired and made him who he is today. Now this is what I’m talm’bout.
Progressive House | Janski – Soar
Posted by Spice on January 18, 2012
After spending a weekend in New Hampshire visiting friends up at school (RIP college), releasing Janski’s latest track seems extremely fitting. Fans of Janski’s previous releases are certain to dig the chill and slightly darker vibe he brings to the aptly named “Soar,” which features a slow but rewarding build and a harder bassline than we’ve seen in the past. I’m really liking the almost moody feeling at the beginning of the song — and the fact that it ultimately rises to a melodic and uplifting peak. Head to Janski’s Soundcloud for more downloads and check out our earlier post on him while you’re at it. And props to Sam Silverman for the sick (and very atmospheric) artwork for this track.

Hip-Hop, Videos | The Dean’s List – All My Troubles [Music Video]
Posted by Grubeats on November 4, 2011
A few months back, The Dean’s List teamed up with Red Bull to release an exclusive track. Representing their brand well, Sonny, Mik, and Mendoza delivered a high octane electro/hip-hop track. About a month ago, the two camps teamed up once again to shoot the visuals for the single. They made their way up to the coast of New Hampshire to capture most of the caffeinated visuals with the help of FTS Creative (who has been killing the game with videos lately). I’m not sure if this song will find its way to an official project, but for now you can grab the mp3 below if you don’t already have it.
