Hip-Hop, Videos | Chris Brown ft. T-Pain – Ni**as In Paris (Music Video)

The Hit-BoyKanye West/Mike Dean/Anthony Kilhoffer produced track off Ye & Jay’s Watch The Throne album is quickly becoming the most remixed track in the game, largely due to the fact the beat is just flat out filthy.  We just saw T.I. give it a go and now rnb-turned rap stars Chris Brown and T-Pain let loose on the track. Well, in reality, it’s only Breezy who works this beat and T-Pain pulls a DJ Khaled and does some high paid shit talking and chirping at the end.  Breezy is still by far a better singer than he is rapper, but he’s definitely progressing with his quick delivery.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Radical Something – California (Official Video)

Posted by on October 17, 2011

After getting back from their mini-European tour, Radical Something is ready to hit the ground running. Their latest release is these stunning visuals for the single California off their debut album We Are Nothing (which you can grab on iTunes here). Here is what they had to say about the video:

The video was shot in 2 days against the backdrop of sunny Venice Beach, CA. The song was written and recorded during the final hours of our studio lockdown this past May in Florida. We were inspired by our home state, and wanted to put together a visually stimulating, fun, colorful, and honest depiction of our lives in California.

If that wasn’t enough excitement for ya, well when this video hits 100,000 views, Radical Something will be releasing their next music video, Freedom, which is currently in post production

Mixtapes | Hendersin Previews 16 bars off I F.L.Y.

Posted by on October 16, 2011

If there is one guy who I can always count on to be on his grind its definitely gotta be Hendersin. This guys work ethic is just tireless, and that is pretty evident from this clip of him spitting a few bar on the set of his next music video. With two more videos on the way in addition to a few mixtape leaks, Hendersin has plenty to keep his fans busy for the next month. Hopefully when I F.L.Y. drops November 14th, we will all be ready for it.

DO SOMETHING

Hip-Hop | Common – Blue Sky

Common just dropped this track produced by No I.D. which will be on his upcoming album, The Dreamer, The Believer. The album is slated for a November 22nd release. To go with the track, the Chi-Town rapper also dropped the lyric video above which helps helps his powerful lyrics sink in a bit better. Rumor has it that an actual music video is in the works so keep an eye out for that.

Close my eyes and see things in front of me. I’m gone now, imagine what I’m gonna be

Videos | Dave Patten – Misérable (Music Video/Mini Film)

Posted by on October 5, 2011

Phillt boy, Dave Patten delivers yet another quality piece for the FNT faithful. Aside from Moufy’s short film for “Miss Newton”, we don’t typically see visual work of this caliber, but Dave Patten, being the multi talented artist that he is, puts forth a very impressive project. It’s almost not fair to simply call this a “music video” and I’d definitely classify it as a “mini-movie”. Not only is the song conveying another strong message, the video directing and production is on point as well. Chances we see Patten making his way to Hollywood for more than just music?

Hip-Hop | Kenton Dunson – Firestarter ft. Ryan Kellie (Music Video)

Posted by on September 22, 2011

Kenton Dunson just released his music video for “Firestarter”, one of my favorite songs off his Creative Destruction 2 album (available for free here) and I couldn’t imagine a better video for it. The video was directed by William J Bastian II who really did an incredible job with it. Better yet, in the next couple months there will be a short film titled Firestarter based on Kenton’s music. The music video contains scenes from the short film, so consider it a kind of preview of what’s to come!
