Mike Stud, aka the rapper who single handedly branded the term Frat Rap, is not only hitting us with yet another classic video, but is dropping an entire mixtape for your ear wetting pleasure. Toast To Tommy, not only gives you a satisfying earful of Mike’s hard hitting rhymes, but also features some of your other favorite FNT artists such as Kinetics and One Love, Huey Mack, and much more. After months and month of hard work and too many videos to count on one hand, this project is truly the culmination of Mike’s hard work. Come out this Saturday for an FNT sponsored Mike Stud show in Randolph, NJ. Also at the event will be another FNT favorite, DJ Nammo. A few weeks ago we brought you Mike & Huey’s back to school banger, Back Again, produced by Rich Young. Finnally we have some visuals to go along with the track which were directed by the very talented Jon Kilmer. Alright so it’s that time of the year again… summer is coming to a close and most of us are heading back to school very soon. Mike Stud just sent over this back-to-school banger that just about sums up how every college student feels right about now. The track also has a feature from another FNT favorite, Huey Mack, as well as production from and Rich Young. But the good news doesn’t end there… within a few weeks Mike says that he’ll have a music video for the track directed by the very talented John Kilmer. I never gave Mike Stud the benefit of the doubt, in fact I never really listened to his stuff until I heard this track. Wether you like Frat Rap or not, Mike and Rich kill it on this track no doubt. The hook is super catchy. After taking the time to listen to Mike’s other stuff, these are some of his best verses. The consensus is, I’m hooked. He’s definitely on his way.

Normally we don’t swing our dicks about exclusives on FNT, but I guess you could argue there’s a time and place for everything. I’m thrilled that these four budding artists who are constantly featured on a number of blogs, opted to let us release this stellar track. Everyone who contributed to this track (yes that includes One Love) compliments one another flawlessly; Missy Modell kills the hook, while Kinetics lays down the foundation of verses that are backed up by our boy Hendersin before being topped off by Mike Stud. As the game continues to become increasingly crowded with hustling artists trying to break ground, I’ll be looking towards artists like the ones in this video to push the envelope whether that be will new sounds, styles, or visual materials that enhance their brand. It’s been a little while since we’ve gotten a new video from Mike Stud. The homie has been out west in Cali touring and making some serious moves. The video, which was directed by Paddy Quinn (the same director of In This Life and College Humor), was shot mostly at Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier, which sets the tone for the whole summer theme. I’m noticing that Stud keeps releasing videos with his bigger tracks, which seems like a sensible idea, everyone loves visuals, right?
