Don’t know the story behind the song title, because after listening to just a snippet of this upcoming track there is obviously no ‘Rift’ between Australian EDM-mainstay Dirty South and rising star/potential protégé Michael Brun. What a banger! Sort of reminds me of Arty’s now famous edit of Ferry Corsten’s ‘Punk’ with it’s aggressive synths and it’s ground-thumping bass. According to Dragan, the track is coming out very soon, but as we all know too well EDM release dates are so nebulous that one can never know when a song will ACTUALLY be let loose to the public. We’ll let you know when we know!

Michael Brun and Special Features releasing their collaboration progressive house masterpiece Synergy today. This track has all the right ingredients to be a summer festival banger. The track starts off with some nice synth build ups into a thumping kick drum accompanied by a catchy melody. Slowly then building into a tasteful electro-house style drop that is meant to send crowds erupting. Don’t miss this great track and grab it off Beatport HERE.

FNT favorites, Michael Brun & Special Features have released the preview for their upcoming collaboration “Synergy” out on April 18th on Dirty South’s Phazing Records. Dirty South seems to be taking an interest in Michael Brun after his “edit” of “Rise” and now signing “Synergy” to his label. It would be interesting to see what the future has in store for the two of them. The song starts with a melodic build with intricate key work that crescendoes into a hard, pulsing progressive synth drop that will make you want to fast forward to April 18th right away.
Also included is a remix of Michael Brun’s first big single “Dawn”, which came out of Hardwell’s Revealed Records and was championed by the man himself. Cat Skillz puts more emphasis on a piano melody and gives the track a more relaxed vibe, while keeping the more uptempo bass line.

The day has arrived for Michael Brun “Rise” with a small edit from Dirty South to be released on Dirty South’s Phazing Records. As you saw with the preview, this track was going to be huge and the full version delivers. The driving bass line with varying percussive elements gives way to a easy piano motif and uplifting synth chords that create melody that will force your hands to “Rise” (see what I did there?) into the air. Michael Brun, if you haven’t already found out is super talented and ready break through to the big leagues. With support from the biggest Djs around on his track “Dawn” on Hardwell’s Revealed Records, as well as plenty of other singles and remixes, it was only a matter of time before he got another track released on a major label. “Rise” is set come out on Dirty South’s Phazing Records March 19th, and he will be performing at Dirty South’s Phazing Nights on March 21st during WMC with Pierce Fulton, LA Riots and Norman Doray. During the video Dirty South gives you a tour of his incredibly nice studio, which should be a real treat for you Djs and Producers out there. Also after the jump I added a really chill dubstep track from Glow Dj resident Des McMahon that has some clear jazz influences.

Michael Brun bringing the heat once again. This one is a revamp of the already catchy tune Animal by Neon Trees. You guys loved the preview, you have waited patiently for the release, and now you finally get rewarded! Within this track we have smooth, perfectly pitched synths along with a complimentary bass and recognizable lyrics. A trio of excellence if you ask me.
