XV gives us a visual treatment for his take on Drake’s “The Motto”. Keeping it real for his Squarians while on his “Midwest State of Mind” tour, Vizzy delivers 7 traits of L7 (make an “L” and a “7” with your hands, flip them and put them together, you’ve got a square– you’re a Squarian).
DMX goes bonkers on this beat, emphasizing the fact he stays gangsta in the club, swaying to the beat. Recruiting Bad Boy’s hard spitting white boy, MGK, who I think was star struck by the fact his all time favorite Ruff Rider had put him on a track. This track will likely be on DMX’s upcoming project, Undisputed.
Kid Ink keeps pumping out the new free music as his recent track, “Time Of My Life”, off his debut album Up & Away keeps crawling up the iTunes charts. Doing what he does best, The Alumni takes Kirko Bangz track “Drank In My Cup” and flips it to be more environmentally sustainable, if you know what I mean.

Hip-Hop | Jay Electronica – Call of Duty (Modern Warfare 3)
Posted by Grubeats on October 13, 2011
Jay Electronica took the hip-hop world by storm a couple years ago when he dropped “Exhibit C”. You would have thought Biggie resurrected from his grave (which in a way he later did when Jay dropped “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace”). Since then, Jay has hit us with a couple more powerful tracks, “Shiny Suit Theory ft. Jay Z & The-Dream” & “The Announcement”, along with some nice features. Other than those, Elec has been rather quiet which has had fans wondering what the New Orleans native has been up to.
After speculations were flying that Jay would sign to Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records, after they released “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace”, Elec turned and signed with the competition, Jay-Z, at Roc Nation. As Jay-Z said about J. Cole, he is in no position to rush artists, but rather give them time to build. Apparently he has the same game plan for Jay Elec as this single, “Call of Duty (Modern Warfare 3)” will be the first off his debut LP album, Act II: Patents of Nobility, which may or may not drop this year. The song features production from Young Guru and a spot from Havoc & Prodigy aka Mobb Deep.
As you can see above, there apparently is some unsettled beef between Jay and Diddy, as he took to his Twitter to send warning shots to the Bad Boy squad. I’d presume this is the first major threat MGK has received since signing to Bad Boy earlier this year. Personally, I don’t think MGK will do anything and Diddy isn’t the “bad boy” he once was, so I don’t really see this going anywhere.

Hip-Hop | Machine Gun Kelly ft. Mike Posner – On Fire (Drug Dealer Girl Part II)
Posted by Grubeats on October 6, 2011
MGK takes to his twitter to unleash the newest cut off his #RagePack mixtape coming by years end. Teaming up with Mike Posner to recreate one of Posner’s first hits off his A Matter Of Time mixtape, which he collaborated with The Brain Trust on. Machine Gun Kelly explains there is a real story behind the surface, which really fizzles down to,
“It may take a couple plays for you to understand it, but the moral is: pussy can fuck your life up.”- MGK

Hip-Hop, Videos | Kid Cudi – Mr. Rager (Video) x Run (Video)
Posted by Grubeats on September 9, 2011
Seems rather delayed for a release off his previous album, MOTM2, which dropped a mere 10 months ago, but I’ll take visuals for classic Cudi over his new ear piercing approach at wizardry (“Perfect Is The World”). Scott takes to his actor’s side (How To Make It In America) and mashes it with his history of violence (Wallet-fan-punch & Fan Fight) for a deep video directed by Surface to Air, where he withstands the beating of the legendary Mr. Rager, until he meets his counterpart for an unpleasant ending. Whether or not the timing of this release was directed toward fellow Cleveland-er, MGK, who responded to Cudi’s tweets regarding his use of the word “rage” and “rager” is unknown, but we do know the waters still appear to be unsettled.
Expect an album coming by year’s end from Cudi’s group, “2 Be Continuum”, along with a single or two off Man On The Moon III.

When it rain’s it pours. Here’s another new video from The Knux which features Kid Cudi on their hit single, “Run”. Since there is some nice boobage I’d mark this one NSFW, but if you’re at work, don’t sleep on this one when you get home cause it’s one hell of a track and video. Keep an eye out for The Knux’s sophomore album, “Eraser” dropping September 27th.

Hip-Hop | Machine Gun Kelly ft. Waka Flocka

It looks like MGK is taking shots from other artists before hes even gets to the mainstage yet. Why Cudi would go after the up-and-comer is beyond me. Judging by the video above and this article, it seems like Cudi is mad at MGK for using the term “raging”… yea if that is not a dumb reason to get pissed off than I don’t know what is. You’d figure that both Cleveland natives would find it beneficial to be friends and make a track together. After all MGK could use the publicity and Cudi could use the opportunity for a comeback. Regardless, below is a HIGH ENERGY track from MGK with a feature from FLOCKAAAA.
