Hip-Hop, Rap | Maye Star ft. Deon Chase – Go Hard
Posted by Grubeats on November 29, 2011
Maye Star. Now that you’ve heard the name, remember it. The young MC residing in Boston is lyrically infectious. I first caught wind of Maye Star when I saw him open for YONAS several months back in Boston. He proceeded to roll lyrics off his tongue like he had been doing it for years. There’s no question he’s got a rare ability to spit it quick, but it should be known his lyrics hold truth and personality as well. “Go Hard” features fellow Boston artist, Deon Chase, and serves as the newest single off his upcoming mixtape, MayeHam. The project will include features from Moufy as well as Los (who Maye has impressed time and time again at post show cyphers), and FNT regular De-Lor. This may be the first time we’ve featured Maye Star, but it certainly won’t be the last.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | Cutline – Runnin’ (feat. Belle Humble) [Remixes] – EP
Posted by Sev on November 27, 2011
Another amazing remix EP releasing this weekend; Cutline’s Runnin’ remix EP. This track has been getting a lot of hype pre-release, and it is evident why. It is not a heavy track like you would expect from Cutline and the lyrics are so catchy. There are three version on the EP; the original, VIP mix, as well as a Drum and Bass remix by Rollz. Be sure to show some support and like their Facebook page.

Moombahton | Khia – My Neck, My Back (DJ Bent Moombahton Remix)

If you are a fan of Moombahton, then you need to check out this dope remix by DJ Bent. This track is so raunchy and should be classified in its own genre as ‘grinding music.’ The track has a nice build up, accompanied by some vulgar lyrics, which help set the mood and make way for a dope drop. Be sure to like his Facebook and follow him on Soundcloud.

Electro | Mysto & Pizzi ft. Jonny Rose – Where Is Love (Disco Fries Remix)
Posted by W8 on November 10, 2011
Disco Fries does an exceptional remake of the original version, now elevated to stadium status. The lyrics alone have enough strength to end all my previous questions with a clear answer, I was made from love!

Hip-Hop | Skizzy Mars – Another World
Posted by GMONEY on November 8, 2011
Skizzy Mars is easily becoming one of my new favorite rappers. He has a flow so unique and his lyrics are always on point. This time Skiz changes it up on us and goes with a more Electro beat but it doesn’t disappoint. Definitely look out for his new mixtape “Phases”, which will be coming out soon. In the meantime, like his page on Facebook and follow him on Twitter.

Hip-Hop | e-dubble – Fight For Days
Posted by Grubeats on November 1, 2011
The king of samples returns once again with a fresh track which samples “Don’t Move” by Phantogram. It’s been a minute since I checked out e-dubble’s Facebook Page, but he’s nearly doubled his fan base since the last time I saw. I suppose that will happen when you continuously release music with purpose and truth. e-dubble differs from you’ve average up and coming artist, shading himself from the camera’s and focusing on delivering meaningful lyrics most people can relate to.

Hip-Hop | Accent – Runaround Ft. Kinetics
Posted by Mach on October 13, 2011
I love this old school sound on hip-hop. You don’t even have to follow the lyrics to know who ever is rapping is keeping it real. I did listen to the lyrics though, not really up to date on who Accent is, but I’m feeling the flow he has got going on this beat. Kinetics kills it as always. Love the hook, might be an acquired taste though. I think it’s Kinetics, but don’t hold me to it.
