The Blancos are dealing with heartache, love, and everything in between, which is the inspiration behind their latest EP “Heartless Romantic” a mix of hip hop, grunge, blues and indie rock influenced records. If you’re in for a journey, I strongly advise you check out the whole album, as there’s something for everyone. My personal favorite off the EP are “She Calls It Love,” “Lemon Garden” and “Romantic.” Monday is coming to an end, and it’s about that time to call it day, so enjoy this refreshing sound, and have a great night! This is a must listen and a must download!

Progressive House | Oh Be Clever – Next To You (Elephante Remix)
Posted by Mel on April 10, 2014
As a follow up to his “#Selfie” remix, Elephante has remixed the indie song “Next To You” by Oh Be Clever and it is just might be his best work yet. He keeps the energy high in this one with kicks, snares, and claps throughout almost the whole track as well as a preview of the drop only a short 15 seconds in. The vocals and main melody are of course both excellent as well.

Rough weekend? Hate the fact it is Monday? Well here is something for you to ease your sense into the day and get your week kickstarted right. German alt-indie trio Pool recently released their single “Lipstick” to the acclaim of many across the internet space and now are prepared to start unveiling remixes for the tune. In comes Liem, who flips the tune totally on its head who except for the vocals and pitching the guitar lick remakes the tune in the vein of a chilled out house track with atmospheric synths and a well constructed bass line to fit the new tone of the tune. The Blancos from Brooklyn know how to make music, and that’s a fact, peep their record “Love’s Impossible,” some indie soul rock music to get you through this grey humid April afternoon. Obviously under the radar, my friend Scott hit me with 3 of their records, notably the one featured here, but make sure you check out “Lemon Garden,” and “Losing Sleep” both quality productions which explore the sample game, and capture that refreshing sound. I was also told that they have exciting news coming up, so keep an ear out for that. This is a must listen, and we’re still waiting on that download!
Alternative, Ambient, Chill | Prelow – Simple Song
Posted by admin on March 15, 2014

A month or so ago, we premiered to you a soft-spoken indie group by the name of Prelow. The NYC-bred duo is back with their newest release entitled, “Simple Song”. Staying true to its name, “Simple Song” doesn’t employ dozens of layers of instruments or vocals, but rather strips it down the excess and provides a song beautiful for everything that it’s not.
Prelow is a promising new name in indie music not only for their vocal prowess, but the self-production that has captivated over 15,000 listeners over the past five days. Enjoy a free download and stream below.
Progressive House | Galantis – You
Posted by Mel on February 28, 2014
For those unaware, Galantis is a recently formed Swedish duo made up of Christian Karlsson of the indie pop band Miike Snow and Linus Eklow, better known as Style Of Eye. The duo’s second original together, “You”, is really something else. The vocals are unique and clearly stand out as the forefront of the track. That is not to say the production is lacking however, as its lightness during the build goes perfectly with the high energy drop. Everything in this song just fits together so well.

Indie, Progressive House | Bastille – Flaws (The Chainsmokers Remix)
Posted by Mel on February 19, 2014
There’s not really anything left to say about The Chainsmokers or a song of theirs that hasn’t already been said, so I’m going to write a paragraph saying all those things again anyway. The follow up to their godforsaken awesomely cool original “#Selfie” is an official remix for Bastille. Their version of “Flaws” has the same light progressive house infused with indie sound that many of their previous stuff does so if you’ve listened to a song of theirs before then you should know what to expect from this. The release date is currently unknown though if I were to have a guess, I would say either some time relatively soon or possibly later in the year.
