Melbourne indie/electro-pop producer, Emerson Long, just shared his latest single, “Heatwave”. The first of many planned by the producer in 2016, “Heatwave” is moving and emotional, featuring beautiful vocals with melodic synths. Emerson put it perfectly when he said, “This track was based around a relatively simple idea of meeting someone a little bit special…I just want ‘Heatwave’ to be something people can come together and have fun with…Something that can add a little touch of summer to your life.” Given the freezing temperatures outside right now, I’m sure we can all use a ‘touch of summer’. There’s no denying that what Gryffin has accomplished in one year is nothing short of impressive. The gifted musician displays a multi-faceted approach to production, as he brings together elements of indie with dance, all underlined by his dedication to live instruments, which can be seen clearly in his productions and with his live set. The NYC-based producer made his world debut at SnowGlobe this year, where he premiered his live concept for the first time, before taking it on the road to sold-out shows in Los Angeles and New York. Now, just three weeks into 2016, he’s getting ready for another major career milestone – his first original, “Heading Home,” which is out now on Darkroom/Interscope Records. The track features Gryffin’s melody-heavy style, as Josef Salvat’s soaring croons are balanced perfectly with lush piano melodies and a deep, throbbing bass line that gives “Heading Home” an evocative feel.

Friday means new music, and digging through Spotify in their latest uploads, this chill indie tune from MOKS featuring UK singer/songwriter James Arthur “Otherwise” popped up in my headphones, and it’s one of those ‘whistle as you go’ ditties to get you through the work day. Reminiscent of that Kill Bill track that was played in a Mercedes commercial, “Otherwise” has elegance and universal written all over it, all while maintaining a folky sound for authenticity. THANK YOU! Finally a producer has taken a classic, given it a modern twist, and actually made a good remix. Too often we see producers try to take on classic tracks and completely botch them, thankfully today Justin Caruso has done the complete opposite. The indie dance vibe of this remix combined with the future fills makes this one of my favorite remixes of late…best part is, you can download it for free below! We usually avoid posting anything too indie, but these guys deserve it. Originating from Australia & Northern Ireland, this duo randomly met in a coffee shop in Manhattan and haven’t looked back since. The drop is unexpected and we couldn’t be happier about it. It’s something new, which isn’t easy to find. The downtempo “indietronica” sound is dark, but beautiful. Future Funk | EDEN Brings Together Future Bass With Pop Vibes On “End Credits”

It’s rare to find an artist with stand-out skills in singing, songwriting, and production, but Jonathan Ng, better known as the artist, EDEN, has found his niche by delivering a sound that blends elements of indie, pop, and dance to create a stunning product. His EP, End Credits, shows off his various abilities, as he weaves together future bass with infectiously catchy pop croons and an indie coat – and the lead single and title track of the EP is a lesson in EDEN’s music. “End Credits” comes off as a pop anthem early on, but it quickly morphs to incorporate elements of future bass to create an interesting dynamic. “End Credits” is the third of seven singles to be released off the EP, so keep an eye out for more out of EDEN.
